Ok now it is time to let us know what is your favorite comfort food. You how they say that home is the place they have to take you in when you show up no matter what? Well what do they put on the table when you sit down in the kitchen. Your choices:
Meat loaf and mashed potato.
Macaroni and cheese
Fried Chicken.
Fish and Chips.
Let me know what you think about the choices. I will add a new one if enough people suggest it.
I vote for the meat loaf by the way.
go fish!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow...they all look so good!
ReplyDeleteMy preliminary vote...subject to anyone's lobbying (hee) is for the meat loaf. With ketchup. Yum.
And I know I'd really like a good recipe for meat loaf. There are so many different kinds!
Mac and Cheese (of course).
ReplyDeleteThis is an easy one for me.
ReplyDeleteFish and Chips!
This was a tough one. Mac 'n' cheese isn't substantive enough, and fried chicken is too much of a production (I don't like bones and messy fingers). So it comes downs to Meatloaf and Fish and Chips. I usually go for meat, but today, I went with the fish.
ReplyDeleteThanks for slipping us another hot pole, Troop.
That's a hot greasy pole just the way you like it Zach.
ReplyDeleteGreat poll and it's meatloaf and mashed potatoes hands down. Heck, it would've been meatloaf hands down but when you add mashed potatoes...is there any question?
ReplyDeleteHey ricpic, I would love to have your mom's reciepe for meatloaf. I bet it would be great.
ReplyDeleteGreat poll and it's meatloaf and mashed potatoes hands down.
ReplyDeleteGreat. Now how about some more Stella Stevens with her hands down.
I can't. Freeman and Althouse will say that they aren't chubby enough for my blog.

Crap. Here we go again. Anyone want a beer with their fish and chips?
Jeez Troop, couldn't you have waited until Lent with this one? That'd give fish and chips a better chance, what with all the observant mackerel snappers around here.
Meat loaf & mashed potatoes.
ReplyDeleteNo pizza?
ReplyDeleteI actually don't get the concept of comfort food. If I need comforting, I'm probably not hungry.
Well your mom didn't make you pizza did she? I think that is the main idea behind comfort food.
ReplyDeleteI needed to include some fish on the menu so I used fish and chips even thought that is a stretch.
ReplyDeleteIf I was going to use what is real comfort food for me I would use a potato and egg sandwich.
Ha ha, Michael H. We're good from now on! ;-) I have retired from poll lobbying.
ReplyDeleteThose fish and chips look scrumptious!
I needed to include some fish on the menu
ReplyDeleteTuna noodle casserole, with cheese slices on top, and covered with crumbled potato chips. Mmmm.
Mebbe next time.
You know I did consider tuna casserole.
ReplyDeleteChicken soup. with kreplach!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea Ron. Although I might use Chicken Matzo Ball soup. Now that's great comfort food.
ReplyDeleteCampbells tomato soup and a toasted cheese sandwich. Mmmmm. Comfort food.
