Ghost Story

I just downloaded the latest Harry Dresden Novel from Jim Butcher which is called "Ghost Story" and it is pretty damn good.

I have something to read this weekend. I have been busy downloading some of my old favorites and so far this week I have read Bendigo Shafter, Winds of War, Tros of Samothrace and three Matthew Scudder novels including "When the Sacred Ginmill Closes."

  2. Why don't you read War And Peace or Crime And Punishment and suffer for culture like you're supposed to?

  3. You're just catching up to Bendigo Shafter?

I couldn't believe L'Amour was still coming up with new Sacketts at that late date. One of the last he did and, I always thought, as he got close to the end of his writing, he turned out not only bigger books, but better ones.

  4. No I had read it when it first came out and it is one of my favorite Louis L'Amour stories. I downloaded it along with the whole Sackett series so I have it on my kindle to read when I feel like it.

  7. See, that's the thing about reading.

It takes your mind on a vacation.

  8. Maybe that's why I love reader-I-am so much?

That girl is always taking me along on her trip!

  9. Wonder how I might feel if I had to carry her baggage and carry my baggage too?

    Hell, I don't know?

  12. So who around here counts up the "LUV" debt?

  13. Seems to me we might ALL owe Troop in a "tit for tat" world.

  14. Fortunately, Titus says he has all the "tits" covered!

  15. Heavy load there, Titus.

But someone needs to get in there with both hands.

Might as well be you. ;)

Another of his late ones with the same kind of sweep, albeit in the opposite direction, is "The Iron Marshal". Also liked the one (whose title eludes me) of the American Indian recon pilot shot down over Siberia.

Also liked "Treasure Mountain" and, of course, "Hondo".

  17. I only read books that have a women in a layback with large tits on the cover.

She is sporting an amazing bust and she is very stressed and wearing a slutty dress.

Her tits are almost popping out of her dress.

Those kind of books are the best.

    tits.

  18. They're romance novels, and Fabio used to be on all the covers. You may be the first person I know who ever admitted to reading one, although they do take up a very LARGE section at my local bookstore.
