Mai tai's were our drink of choice in the evenings while in Hawaii. The place we were staying had a papaya tree with ripe fruit so my wife invented a new drink that I dubbed the Papaya Tai (pronounce Puh-PIE-tie). She just mixed a mai tai (rum, CuraƧao liqueur, and lime juice) but blended in the fruit of a fresh papaya. The drink has the consistency of an orange smoothie. Drink those everynight for two weeks and you'll pack on 5 lbs too.
Ilove Mai Tai's but they are just too sweet for me.
And margherita's can be a little too sour.
A mojito seems just right sometimes.
The wonman who runs the place is a chef and a caterer. As usual we made friends with her and she goes "Hey I just made a pitcher of Mojito's do you guy's want some?"

With mint leaves fresh from the garden.
