Commentor Memories number 133 Darcy dress up!

Darcy said....... Have you guys heard the latest Republican ridiculousness? Attacking various unnamed ladies who attended CPAC dressed "inappropriately" according to the self-appointed Skirt Police. Calling them slutty looking skanks! I was there, and no one (besides me) was dressed inappropriately! I kid. (I think?) Why I will never officially be a Repub.

  1. Makes me want to stand up and salute!

The flag! Come on people, get your mind out of the gutter. Sheesh!

  2. Did she have tattoo removal on her left arm? Skin graft? Weird shadow?

  3. Did Sixty get like a massive blood transfusion in the hostipal...or hospital?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Sixty lost so much blood....I bet he gets lightheaded when he gets hard.

  5. Chick,

There's only so much blood in a man's body. If the blood goes down to your groin, there isn't enough blood in your brain left over to make you think.

  6. Wait, what? You talkin' to me? BWANE NOT WORKING!!!

  7. Lt. Gen. Puller approves of this post.

And he's been dead for over 40 years.

  8. It's quite the kerfuffle, apparently.

I'll take it seriously when women who CAN dress like that (like Darcy) complain about it.

  9. You got to be you Darcy.

And my sense is if there were any comments it was because they were jealous, because you are hot and they are not.

And girl if you got em, show em...at least that's my saying.

I hate being a member of any party or group or club or association. I even hate meetings at work. I think it is because I generally hate people. Now dogs, there is another story.

    tits.

  10. I am actually kind of shocked I even comment here.

This is kind of a group.

But Troop is so fucking suave and cool I can't help it.

  11. Whoa Darcy! Nice! If you got it, flaunt it!

  12. Titus and I are of one mind I see, lol.

  13. I wish Sarah P. had shown up in that outfit.

  14. I just realized that photo of Darcy features both amber waves and majestic purple mountains.

    What a patriot!

  15. I see can see fruited palins from here!

  16. I think a few pocket rockets may have a red glare.

    Oops; wrong song.

  17. OK, does anyone else remember Darcy's "racy photo"?

(Spoiler: Darcy's real name should be "Modesty".)

    ReplyDelete
  18. My favorite was always the blushing red Darcy.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah, that's a great pic.

    But aren't they all, really?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I don't remember a "racy" one.

The eyes only darcy was very intriguing. Allie did a similar take on that.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The picnic table shot of darcy that troop has is pretty good too.

  22. You guys sound like my buds and me recalling our favorite centerfolds from high school.

As we were doing just a day or two ago.

How 'bout a retrospective exhibition, TY?

    ReplyDelete
  23. That's the joke, CL: It wasn't racy at all. I think the raciest Darcy has ever gotten was that leg shot from the cruise.

And Troop is mean with these supposed pix of her. Always some drunk skank! Allie gets the nice nurses or hippie chicks, DBQ gets the hot '60s chicks...aaand, I guess that's why there aren't that many chicks hangin' out here.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Really? Darcy did an eyes only avatar? Darcy, girlfriend, you and I think alike, well in certain areas anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  25. How 'bout a retrospective exhibition, TY?

Just click on Troop's "Darcy" label and look at her comments over time.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think the raciest Darcy has ever gotten was that leg shot from the cruise.

    et tu, blake?

    ReplyDelete
  27. And Troop is mean with these supposed pix of her. Always some drunk skank!

Yes and no. He was sweet to her on that Father's Day post I thought.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Plus what about his portrayals of DBQ? Not exactly all flattering.

And the way he depicts you blake? atrocious inconsideration.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I urge everyone here to click on Troop's label for you and review the man's fairness.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm kidding. Didn't mean to shut everybody up.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I got lost in the archives.

    Some fascinating stuff there.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Having met Darcy, I can confirm that the real-life Darcy is way better than that woman in the photo.

    Waaay better.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wait a minute. Wasn't it Melissa Clouthier who wrote that column (/blogpost)? As I recall it, she was first a tea-partier and then a true conservative, or something like that. (And as I also recall it, there was a time when such as I might've called her & similar out and been called on it by folks who later dismissed me as part of "doing housecleaning.) NOW she's a both a Republican and--what?--a symbol of ridiculousness?!? Well, shiver me timbers.

    W.T.F.?

It's hard to keep up (other than with the steady drumbeat of being scathed at).

    ReplyDelete
  34. As someone who can respect the idea of covering up, and who totally gets that a lot of kids today don't really know how to dress appropriately the criticism seems to be coming from two camps:

    1. Females who may have dressed similarly in their own youth, but can't any longer.

    2. Males who want license to leer.

It's not the most compelling chorus.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I guess it's now OK, a few years later, to question some people, and some stuff. Heh.

And--what the hell, why not?--while I'm at it, I guess I'll just fully accept that it's *all my fault* that my timing was bad.

As it turns out, however, a good chunk of what I said just few years back appears to be a new thing, and, I guess, much valued, on account of sources. Or something.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I never focused on dress, by the way (or even those who focused on dress, fwiw).

  38. You know, one way to measure core values is the core expectations and core cheer-leading [or not] emanating from those who hold the values. Do they shift? How do they shift? When? Why? Do they both (expectations and cheer-leading) shift in tandem, or do they diverge?

    Etc.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Also: So, NOW being neither Democrat nor Republican, neither liberal nor conservative...

    NOW, that's not "squishy"??????

LMAO. And I deserve so to do, this one time, if no other.

/rant from one who knows there's no bleeding point:

    so it goes

  40. Worry not, Darcy: You shall, and do, prevail.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Darcy it was a couple of prudes and then everyone had to ogle the Hot Air video to really understand the nuance of Ms. Korbe's thighs.

They had to check out that video a lot. It was such an important topic. Probably the most important CPAC issue of all! It took a lot of study, but the blogosphere was there to do it.

Do you have photos from CPAC? You should post them!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I missed the comments at the end here!

Late, but thanks rcommal! Loved the video.
