Whose that author?

EVERYTHING NOT FORBIDDEN IS COMPULSORY!

  1. Murray Gell-man link, who was Feynman's Caltech buddy.

I once got into tiff in emails or my blog comments about his name with Carol Herman. You see, I knew a fair bit about the name "Gell-Mann" and it's etymology for reasons unrelated to Murray. But Carol Herman wouldn't back down.

I think that's around the time I asked her to stop commenting. I can't stand arguing with people like that.

Merlin turns Wart into an ant.

    I love those books.

Herman's batshit crazy and not in a good way.

  8. At least you know where you stand with Everything Not Forbidden Is Compulsory.

I was raised with We Assume You Know What Is Forbidden And What Is Compulsory And We Expect You To Act Accordingly. And I didn't know either category. Which wasn't necessarily their fault. I mean you can pound it into a kids head but a kid is still a kid and needs to be whacked until he stops getting it all wrong. They forgot to whack me. Enough.
