  1. We were in Vegas on April 1st which was the night of the Country Music Awards. Lots of cowboy hats. I've also been in Vegas for the National Rodeo in December. The Vegas Hilton is the headquarters..lots of cowboy boots and hats then.

  2. So we're back. Stayed at the MGM signature, top floor. it was fabulous.

My highlight was shooting 50 furtive spurts of hot molten projectile which thoroughly penetrated the intended target.

    I love Vegas.

  3. Oh, yeah, I thought of cousin Ron when eating at the Hofbrauhaus--it's a replica of the one in Munich--where the the whole Putsch went down.

  8. We stopped in Yuma the first night and snuck right up to the AZ/Mx border to get a glimpse of the site where the levee/damn broke in 1905 which created the Salton Sea. Nothing there now. It was the catalyst for creating the Hoover Dam

Did you know that it was originally called Hoover Dam, but FDR insisted (spitefully) on calling it Boulder Dam. In 1947 after FDR was safely dead, Congress officially renamed it Hoover Dam.

  14. We almost went there when Germany was playing Italy in the World Cup but we figured it would be too crazy.

So we stayed in the condo at a cabana and had a barbeque.

We bet on Italy so we won.

You don't want to be around Germans when they lose. Just sayn'
