Did you ever get the feeling.....

That MamaM has fond memories of summer camp when those cute Boy Scouts were across the lake?

Well that was before the Boy Scouts turned gay.

  1. Oh oh...if I end up being the only one to comment on this post, will I once again be mistaken for Meade?

SADS was all those loose 1's and 0's hanging about like lost code. Better to remove doubt, replace them with a cute little envelope and wait for Mr Postman to deliver.

So Mister postman look and see
Is there a letter in your bag for me

You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta check it and see, one more time for me
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
Deliver the letter, the sooner the better
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute

  2. Who would confuse the marvelous MamaM with Meade?

  3. Is it just me or does the man in the picture look kind of like Il Duce? Just me? Okay, never mind....

  4. Marvelettes. In 1961 my 16 year old sister was in possession of a transistor radio through which I at 7 yrs old heard a number of memorable marvels.

Who indeed? Life's a circle. Wait long enough and something beyond imagination will happen.

R.O. Burroughs expressed the circularity part the best.

  6. Sorry MamaM -- that was a homophonic thing to write.

  7. I need to buy a vowel here, El Pollo, maybe two, or else in the way of a clue.

In the meantime, for reading enjoyment, a little something from Baden-Powell:

“An invaluable step in character training is to put
    responsibility on the individual.

  9. I think you're supposed to hear the first "R" as "Ur", MamaM.

  11. @MamaM: I've never actually heard the word "ouroboros" pronounced. I was guessing that "R.O. Burroughs" was close. Maybe O.R. Burroughs. Either would be a great pseudonym for someone who likes to argue in circles.

  12. Does anyone know when the Scouts are scheduled for their pretty and witty fittings?
