I need to get on a beach and get in the water.
But unfortunately we are working everyday this summer and won't have a vacation until after Labor Day. We only have part time employees now. That is how the economy has changed. You can't afford full time employees and all the expenses that entails. So you fill in with part timers and do almost all of the work yourself.
In a typical summer, I have about 25 employees. I'm running with 17 this summmer. Also, I typically hire about 75% high schoolers. Of the 17 current employees, two are in high school. I can't wait for the economic boom when the commies leave office.
ReplyDeleteThese are the good old days.
ReplyDeletewindbag, You may have said, but I don't remember, what kind of restaurant do you have. What's its name, if you care to say. I understand if you don't.

nd, can't disclose. I'm franchised, so I have to be careful not to trash corporate. If (once) I'm ever out of the contract, I'd be happy to share. I'm not wild about using a pseudonym, but it's a precaution for now.
ReplyDeletewindbag, I completely understand. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWell, I certainly admire your spirit.
