  1. She has a nice smile and I'll bet her mouth opens extra wide.

  2. I believe it's Berenice Bejo, and that picture is from "The Artist".

  3. She's very distinctive looking. A really good example of how women today don't look like women from 80 years ago, at least not in the movies.

    She's way too lean.

  4. Also, too old for the role. But a good movie.

  5. She wasn't a dog in the film.

The dog was great but that is because Merde was not around to abuse him.

  7. OK, you're not the most inquisitive bunch of mofos on the internet, so I'll just fuckin' tell you.

Today is Charles Bukowski's birthday. He'd be 93 if he hadn't died 19 years ago.

Panda sex takes a real toll on a guy. Or so I'm told.

  8. @ChipS...what I'm more curious about is how you knew today is Charles Bukowski's Birthday???

    Poet's Birthdays for $100 Alex?

I ordered a Frank O'hara book last night based on Creeley23 and Yashu's conversation over at Lems on the brain/schizo thread. One man's ketchup is other's poem.

  9. Billy Connolly mentioned it today on the radio, MamaM.

  10. Oops. I meant Billy Collins.

Already been thru the first pitcher of frozen margaritas of the night.

  11. Sorry I wasn't around last night, Chip. Woulda joined you on that 2nd & 3rd pitcher.

MamaM, hope you enjoy the O'Hara. I really love him. I think some of your own wit & poetic sensibility jibes with his.

Creeley's great. The man really knows modern poetry, much more than I do-- and has great taste IMO. But (key thing) there's no pretentiousness to him, at all. (Plus, he's always given Larry a hard time, which is a bonus.)

  12. Shame on me, I forgot to say, (and now say belatedly) happy birthday, Bukowski, you magnificent bastard.

Love the panda sex; I request more panda sex. (OK, to be honest, I'm totally clueless about the origin of the linkage here. But that doesn't matter anyway; panda sex with Charles Bukowski is immortal poetry.)
