Whose that girl?

She  had something in common with Marilyn Monroe and Marilyn Michaels which is about as different as you can get. But she made hay while the sun shined. Her daughter later went on to be a famous TV chef and talk show host.

Whose that girl?

  1. You got me Troopski - are you willing to give us any more clues?

  2. Well did you see the episodes of the Soprano's when Tony went to shop in Jersey at the garden supply joint called "The Gardens of Wayne."

She used to shop there too.

  3. I like how Tony picked up an ax and talked to the owner, not knowing that AJ was having a beef with the owner's kid. Then AJ's rival gives up without fighting, due to who his father is.

    Good times.

But I still have no idea - where is Blake when you really need him?

  6. Was thinking it was Grace Zabriskie but...just a similar look.

I'm out. I'd look for connections via marriage or scthup...Kennedy, DiMaggio, Miller...or maybe Strasberg?

    Dunno.

  8. They got married in the Sts. Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco - that is one of my favorite churches - a beautiful place.

But that makes sense - Joe was from that area and used to play for the Seals.

  12. Your guess is Tia Carrere, Chip?

  13. No, nor Donna Dixon.

This chick wasn't in movies. By her own admission, she wasn't the right type for the role she played.

She was born to play Little Miss Sunshine, tho.

  16. Chip's got it.

It is Elizabeth Ray famous for banging Wayne Hays.

And dating Joe DiMaggio who like his skanks.

  17. She looks something like the gal that John Cassavetes married, can't think of her name. But she (JC's wife) had real sex appeal. That Greek didn't deserve her. Gena Rowlands. Wow, did she have it.

Back to Sixty's (and 70's!) "hunt 'n' peckers"??

    "I can't type, I can't file, I can't even answer the phone...Supposedly," she says, "I'm on the oversight committee."

  19. Troopski, what the fark - the Painters beat the Gints? You guys really suck if that bunch of no-talent pouty unprofessional poorly-coached towel-on-the head bad word bad word bad words can beat you.

Seriously! Dude, I was counting on you to get that former da Bears player fired from his first coaching job. Thanks for nothing.

  20. Not just beat the Gints, mind you, but beat you like a drum - 38 to zip. Really? What are you shooting for - 0-16 or some shite? Glad I didn't watch that abomination otherwise I might say something bad about Eli.

  21. The Packers suck but the Gints need to improve to suck. Those Gints were beaten like a Ingeburg stepchild.

  22. Sixty, Do you have any teams you call yours?

  23. I kind of like the Niners from my years in the Bay Area, but I don't follow them unless they are in the Super Bowl or something.

I mainly don't like teams. Don't like the Colts or the Redskins - I grew up within a few miles of both of those teams and have disliked them since I was a child.

Professional sports are a racket and I am somewhat cynical about the whole endeavor.

  24. Good afternoon, "problem commenters". How are we this fine Sunday afternoon?

  25. Sixty, My son has been a Niners fan since he was young. He gets a lot of shit here in Wi. The reason he became a fan was Jerry Rice.

  26. Haz, You still in the Volunteer state?

  27. Nick, yes. In Gatlinburg for the next couple of days. Thinking about riding the Kentucky Bourbon Trail next.

Or maybe just riding back roads in the Smokies. Don't know which yet.

It's a mixed bag. I got the front yard mowed before the rain started, but didn't get the back done. I got some work done in the garage, but didn't get some of the books reshelved. My football team (the Bucs) suck ass, but at least they're not the Giants.

OTOH, my college team (the Gators) finally showed some offensive life yesterday AFTER the starting QB got knocked out for the year, and we (the family) had a great time yesterday at the petting zoo.

So while the day is only so-so, the weekend on the whole has been quite good.

Also? Haven't really had the time to do any problem commenting this weekend.
