Sometimes one play can make all the differance!

That pick and touchdown by that hippie fuck Matthews was the real reason the Giants blew the game. We were dominating and that took the airs out of our sails. That one play had a lot of lingering effects and was the turning point in my view. Even though we came back and tied the game and had a chance to win in the final moments it was not enough.

Good game. The Packers are very beatable. I know the Giants can beat them. I hope we see them in the playoffs (if we squeak in) and we end their undefeated season like we did with the Patriots. I think that is what will happen.

It happened before and it can happen again.

  1. The Packers are beatable. If they were "very" beatable someone would have by now..blowhard. At least your team came to play this year. They phoned it in last year. You NY fans cry as much as Boston fans, just w/ a different accent.

  2. The New Jersey Giants just left the World Champion Green Bay Packers too much time on the clock. It was actually kind of a boring game. Was there ever any doubt?

  3. Yes it can happen again. But what are the odds..50-1, maybe. That loss broke their backs and ended your shanty Irish coaches tenure.

I read the other shanty coach, Rex Ryan, donated one of his sweater vests to a homeless shelter. The women volunteers turned it into coats for 32 homeless men.

  5. Yes, the Giants are better than they play.

  7. In the NFL it is very difficult to beat a team twice in the same year. If the Giants meet the Packers in the Playoffs they will beat them. They know they can beat them This game proved that. Our defense had a lot of injuries. If those guys come back and we can rush Rodgers a little better than we can win easy. Watch and see.

    Too bovinate = Moooo!

  9. Nah.

When the game is tied and your kicking off with less than a minute to go, everything before that is out the window.

Ya gotta stop them and force overtime, or, even better, force a turnover and give yourself a chance to win.

The Packtard came right down the field and scored. They're just better.

On the other hand, Giants got nothing to be ashamed of there. Lost to the best team with zero seconds left.

  10. I don't know about that Tank. That play took the starch out of the defense for a couple of quarters and led to the Packers scoring a bunch of points. The Giants lack an inspirational leader who will kick ass and take names. We should have kept the pressure on.

I am confident we can beat them in the playoffs and spoil an undefeated season like we did to the Pats. The Packers will not repeat. I just want the Giants to knock them out.

  11. Outside of two minutes in the opening game against the Saints, there hasn't been a time in a game when I thought the World Champion Green Bay Packers were going to lose. It's getting kind of boring to watch. Maybe someone in the AFC can give us a good game?

  12. Hey Garage if they lose will you start a recall petition? Just sayn'

  13. Haven't thought about that. They are not going to lose.

  14. I saw that game from just before the pick and touchdown and I really thought it could have gone either way the whole rest of the game.

It seemed both teams figured they could win, but would have to play--there was no coasting in this game. The win/loss ratio really does not represent how evenly matched these guys are.

  15. Anyways, just came over to give you a hard time Trooper. We have the best quarterback in the game. He is incredibly hard to beat.

  16. It is harder to repeat as Super Bowl Champs than it is to beat Aaron Rodgers. That is why it doens't happen unless you have a really superior team. Green Bay is good. But not unbeatable. They would be a lot better off if they lose a couple of games during the season. Just like the Pats a couple of years ago.

  17. As much as we love our Packers, my condolences Trooper. Damn hippie Matthews, is he a quarterback?

  18. Maybe another Pats Pack Super Bowl.
What about Brady and Rodgers soaping each other up?

    That would be hot.

  19. No Allie he is a linebacker who intercepted Eli and ran it back for a TD.

He needs to cut his fuckin' hair.

  20. Eli Manning always looks like he found a turd in the punch bowl after he throws an interception.

  21. You're delusional Trooper. You can stick a fork in the Giants. But..I'll be happy to wager you again. I just put a US Grant in the Salvation Army kettle @ the grocery store this afternoon to match your donation. Did you break open your little piggy bank yet..little Troopy

  22. ndspinelli: "The Packers are beatable."

I watched most of that game, and I'm amazed that they're still undefeated. Their defense couldn't stop a peewee team.

  23. The best defense is a good offense, Pasta. And, in this case..the best offense ever. The Giants have a very good defense and the Packers cut through them like warm butter. And please don't give me little Troopy's "We had injuries." The Packers were decimated by injuries last year and won the Super Bowl. Hell..you bozos make me sound like a fucking Cheesehead and I hate myself for it. Your horseshit gets my Irish up.

I've heard that the Irish haven't much to get up.

Eli Manning always looks as though he found a turd in the punchbowl, period. While I don't doubt he has high level skills there is something so uncommanding about the guy it has to hurt team morale. It's stunning how often he looks like an orphan. This isn't to say he isn't doing his best, it's just he has a look that kills confidence.

  26. Trooper, in hindsight, perhaps I shouldn't have barged into your place talking smack. It's been awhile. And it's not like you invite me over.

That's not true garage. Trooper was trying to lure you over here for years before you actually showed up. You may have been tagged before me too: link

  28. Garage you gotz to be kidding me. You have your own series for crying out load.

    Garage Mahal's Road Kill Korner.

It's like Kiner's Korner but with dead animals.

But be sure to show up when the Giants beat the Packers in the playoffs. Just sayn'

  30. Nice one Meade

Reading those old Maxine Weiss posts on Meade's link reminded me of somebody.

  31. Yeah I know.

But my policy is to take every character at face value. It's a lot easier that way than trying to figure out who everyone really is.

    I leave that to SockpuppetsRUs.

  32. NO, am not Maxine Weiss, but I think I may have liked her!

  33. Let's see.

Giants: Back to the wall, playing at home in front of enthusiastic fans. Chance to knock off undefeated World Champions.

Packers: Playoff position all but locked up. Basically trying to stay interested and healthy until the post season starts.

I wouldn't read too much into the Giants performance. Anyway, if you ever get tired of cheering for the pretenders, here is a way for you to own a piece of the contenders!

  34. Troop, for what it's worth, I'm the one doing a lot of the deleting at the EBL's. Been doing it since delegating the responsibility to myself a while ago. I won't bore you with the details but I thought you might like to know.

So if anyone has a problem with it, they should contact me directly by email. We think it has improved a flow of conversation but, as you know with your own blog, it's a continual delicate balance of free and regulated speech when it comes to promoting good blog commenting and the policy has to evolve as conditions change.

Thanks, and keep up the good work here.

    your pal, Meade

  38. I thought of you Trooper during the game. I hope you enjoyed the tantalizing thought of beating the World Champion Green Bay Packers before the best QB in the game stomped on your dreams.

Good luck in Dallas this week. Nealy a must-win.
