Ed Sullivan was a tradition in the Spinelli house. Where else could you see Topo, Ringo, Mick, guys spinning plates, Carlin and Pryor? And, there were always Mick, YA, Lanie Kazan, etc. in the audience for introdution.
I like the shows about parasites, worms crawling under the membranes of the eyeball, seeing it crawl across your field of vision, the worm that played hide and seek up the guy's nose, good stuff, stuff of nightmares.
I went with plus signs out of respect for the great cartoonist Peter Arno. The dog ate my book, so I can't check to see if the plus signs meant dead or dead drunk.

ReplyDeleteIt's one of the Japanese emoticons. Unlike doing the sideways thing, they do straight-on stuff. So the Os are eyes, with one bigger than the other, a common animé trope for puzzled or stunned.
