  1. I loved Mr Magoo as a kid. Almost as much as Fractured Fairy Talkes and Underdog. The Simon Bar Sinister character in Underdog had a Lionel Barrymore voice. His sidekick talked like a guy from Brooklyn.

  2. I'm glad I set those stray thoughts free from the ol' cerebral bar--never to return.

  3. Yes, I'm beginning to look like Magoo, too. The worst part is when you catch a glimpse of yourself in the full length mirror, side view.

  4. Well, at least I can understand the new avatar, so that's an improvement right there.

  5. I must admit I'm a little weirded out by seeing those old cartoon characters in color. My folks only had a B/W TV well into the 1970's--way past the time I watched those cartoons. I never realized that Jack LaLanne had anything but a grey jumpsuit until around the time he died and I saw old reruns. I had a pretty colorblind childhood. The very first thing I ever saw on color TV was a Packer game on a Sunday at the richer neighbors.

  6. Most older folks get farsighted, that's very normal. What I don't understand is the older I get the more nearsighted I get. Recently just got bumped up a point in my prescription and had to get new contacts and glasses.

I take off my glasses to read and can't read with my contacts in.

  10. Jim Backus was a good talent. "Oh Magoooo, you've done it again."
