Betty Rubble is a dirty girl

Betty Ruble is a dirty girl.

Sometimes she gets together with her dirty friends.

They talk dirty.

They do dirty things.

It is sort of like Lem's Blog.

Of course Betty is the only one who doesn't shave.

You see Betty Rubble is a very dirty girl.

Betty Honey Badger Rubble just don't care.

Me, I'm as patient as a saint. Or maybe a spider?. How about Job?

No, no, I've got it. Google is my friend. I'm "patient as a noun".

  2. You want dirty Troop? Althouse and Meade in tight camel toe sporting pants doing prancercize together...who needs comments when you have that?

  3. Prancercize?

    I prefer Vixen size.

  5. It is kind of funny that they are talking about camel toe.

Next up they will be talking about the Munsters.

    Jeez.

  6. I'm mostly staying away, but I had to see what the camel toe stuff was about. I also finished up that mega-thread at Lem's. Noticed something interesting.

Last night "fiona" showed up talking about how Althouse coulda handled comments better, gee what a shame, la la la. Then today EBL tentatively opens up comments on one thread.

    La la la....

  7. No comments by fiona @TOP, tho.

Kind of odd, seeing as how she's such a strong EBL supporter.

  8. Funny to see who hasn't showed up where, as well.

We need Nick Spanakos and E. P. Raylon to get right on this case.

  9. Wait. She opened up comments? Who won the bet? What was the over/under? What do I win???

  10. Can't win a bet when everyone's on the same side of it.

  11. O.k. Chip S., let's just say that the prophecy has been fulfilled.

    Darn. I needed those winnings.

  12. Still, it's kind of a surprising development when you consider how 100% of the email she got told her how much better her blog was w/o comments.

  13. Second prize, a set of steak knives.

Stake knives might be a bit more appropriate given the undead nature of that place, but I think first prize is gaining a sense of calm contentment and the gift of time one can spend elsewhere.

In that regard, we are all winners.

I wouldn't say no to a new Cadillac, however...

  14. I'm blocked from commenting and I'm shocked.

  15. I'm shocked that you tried.

Hey, if you wanna comment somewhere, I put up a question that's just sitting there gathering pixel dust.

  16. I didn't even try. That would be silly.

    Teachers pets only nick.

  17. But you know what? I bet some of the smarter ones will realize that they are playing a mugs game and stay with Lem. If he keeps blogging.

  18. Most of the comments on that one thread were from Althouse and Meade. It was like a SNL parody of an NPR radio show.

  20. @Haz - all it needed was Alec Baldwin talking about his favorite dessert.

  21. Until chickie gets a new phone, this will have to do, chirbit-wse.

  22. Until chickie gets a new phone...

Unfortunately, there's no way of retrieving the sodden old phone from Davy Jones' Locker

  23. It was a nasty one. I knew it wouldn't get posted, but I thought maybe she gets to see it. I don't know how that works. "Teacher's pet" was part of the comment.

  24. Another pin went into the doll they made to represent you, nick.

    Did you feel anything?

  25. Ann opened comments again, but no talking about comments!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I posted a couple of comments just to see if I could...they worked. Of course Meade deleted them in about 10 minutes. FYI

  27. ChipS, I did feel a pain in my ass but I thought that was my hemmies acting up.

  28. I'm wondering how much that blog makes that is worthwhile enough to tend it so closely.

  29. Tim,

It was a few thousand a month, I believe, years ago, before I stopped reading. The traffic's doubled since then, so there's probably been a correlating increase.

And, like it or not, the pimping probably boosts the money, too.

I checked recently and hits are off about 10% since this kerfuffle started.

The problem with commenters/participants in online dialogues is that we over-value ourselves. Most people do not surf to engage.
