Ripic poses a question
Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to complete a joke that begins: a deaf man a dumb man and a blind man walk into a bar...*
* I don't know the ending, there is no ending yet but that set up did occur to me recently...it really did.
And the bartender says "Hey! It's the Noevil Brothers!"
ReplyDeleteAnd the bartender says "Hey the spook and the homo can stay, but no Irish."
ReplyDeleteWhy would Beethoven and Stevie Wonder hang out with Meade?
ReplyDeleteAt least the cat has his thinking cap on.
ReplyDeleteThe Noevil Bros it is, as they hear, speak and see no evil in that order, but trip on it together on their way to the bar stools and roll on the floor laughing. Because what does it all really matter anyway?
Guys, you are too late - Helen Keller just left!
ReplyDeleteAnd the blind man says to the bartender, "We will all have a tall redhead."
ReplyDeleteI thought Ruth Ann had a copyright on Ripic but whuddaIknow?
ReplyDeleteAll great endings by the way.
Didn't the Noevil brothers have that big fat dude with the mole on his face who was banging Linda Ronstadt after he did a song with her?
ReplyDeleteI think they were from New Orleans.
" a deaf man a dumb man and a blind man walk into a bar"
ReplyDeleteThey insist that half the patrons buy everyone's drinks, and they take sips from each one as the bartender hands them out, then they call everyone drunks and set the place on fire.
No, it's not funny, is it?
"Why would Beethoven and Stevie Wonder hang out with Meade?"
ReplyDeleteTwo words: Belly scratch.
...and set the place on fire.
ReplyDeleteAnd those that escape the flames without being trampled, crushed or knocked out by the mob at the door attempting to leave end up with a deadly pox from the unprotected sipping, one not acknowledged or covered by their health care provider.
I put this quote over at Lem's, and it fits here too:
Good and evil, then, cannot be a pair of opposites like right and left or above and beneath. "Good" is the movement in the direction of home, "evil" is the aimless whirl of human potentialities without which nothing can be achieved and by which, if they take no direction but remain trapped in themselves, everything goes awry.
