The worst joke I ever heard

What's eighteen inches long, very stiff and makes women weep uncontrollably?

"I don’t want to be morbid, but I just want to remind you that you have control here."
"We can turn the device off at any time. (It is your device and your life.)"

Script prepared by a doctor, for use speaking to a patient, quoted in a NYT article titled "A Decision Deferred: Turning Off the Pacemaker."

  2. You can't take what crazy people do personally.

I call it the Crack Emcee principle.

  4. Sad sick and demented people will wish evil on others.

It is no accident that Inga is the driving force in the comments over there.

    Water finds it's own level.

    As does shit.

  5. That joke is pretty bad. You might be so low in Hell, you'll have to look up to catch a glimpse of the Kennedys.

  6. Is it that bad? I'm passing it around myself.

  7. You can't take what crazy people do personally.

The stuff semi-crazy people do, however, is up for grabs.

Is this joke the antidote for the rash of cute and "its a hoot" woman-speak showing up at Lem's? It's as humorless to me as the cuteness being touted over there is cute* but then I find exuberant friendliness almost as faux and wearing as loaf pushing. It makes blogs work though (for a while), and draws in comments almost as effectively as dog pics.

    * Most of what's being labeled as cute and adorbs actually seems to be about what is endearing, delightful, engaging, charming or fun. As such, I'd prefer a different designator.

  8. I'm not passing it around because I think it's funny. I just feel like being a dick--and that's a pretty dick joke.

Just like Meade's tiny pecker. Or, in fact, Annie's.

  9. Dick behavior is about push and push back.

  10. This joke has no underlying subtext.

It was sent to me by a friend of mine who is an even bigger racist sexist Irish asshole than I am.

And that is difficult to achieve.

Even he thought this was out there.

  11. OK, so what's the deal with the Traci Lords pic?

I had a moment of panic that something had happened to her kid!

  12. No it was just the sexual innuendo in the joke. So to speak.
