Now I know why I got slices of filet mignon on my last trip to Incognito. Beef prices have skyrocketed to 11% more than a year ago. So you burgers and steaks are increasing drastically in price. Or they give you smaller pieces or cheaper cuts.
I think they just gave me less than the 8oz filet that I paid for because the increase in price has just hit them too hard.
Com'on Evi where is the cheap little cud chewing we know and love?
Evi is a dairy cow. When dairy cows die they end up @ dog food factories.
ReplyDeletePork and chicken are both affordable and delicious.
ReplyDeleteSo Queers of Color are being discriminated against in San Francisco, where is the outrage?

I resemble that remark

ReplyDeleteNot a fan of the yellow here either. The color looks like it's been ramped up ala Althouse, which I sometimes find appealing. In this one, not so much.
ReplyDeleteJaundiced beef.
ReplyDeleteThat was the Bearnaise sauce which was not the way it usually appears.
ReplyDeleteThey were definitely having issues in the kitchen.
That is some strange looking Bearnaise sauce. Like it was made by some Mexican guy who never made Bearnaise sauce and who followed a recipe in English (and he spoke and read just Spanish).
ReplyDeleteSorry Chick I threw you under "the bus." The bus being Nick and Trooper's appetites.
ReplyDeleteWe had a party Sunday for about 40 people. I made meatball and sausage and pepper sandwiches, pasta salad and fruit salad. We had some real eaters including teenaged boy and girl athletes. I always make too much food but this rime there were few leftovers. One boy ate 4 sandwiches, he's a hockey and baseball player and shinny as a rail! Anyway, this guy I've known for years takes the sausage sandwich and comes up to me and asks for ketchup and mustard. I thought he was kidding. His mortified wife was nearby. She is like Trooper, her old man was Irish, mom Italian. She gave me a look and said, "I'm sorry, Nick, I love him in spite of that!" I gave him the condiments and averted my eyes.
ReplyDeleteThat pic is looking more sickly every time you post it.
ReplyDeleteJaundiced beef.
ReplyDeleteLol! It was at that! From the Icks R Us school of cooker-uppery.
ndspinelli--the mustard, while not optimal, is forgivable. The ketchup...that is an abomination.
ReplyDeleteYou guys got a lotta opinions about hot dogs.
ReplyDelete*duck*
evi, Cheeseheads LOOOOOVE Ketchup.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I am aware of the Wisconsin love of Catsup. It is still an abomination of a condiment on a hot dog (or God forbid) a sausage.
