Darcy said: Hey, tugboats are cool. I used to date a tugboat captain
from wiki: "...the conventional tugboat is able to move its load three ways: Pushing from behind, secured to the side of the towed vessel, or by towing astern, all achieved by the use of various lines and cables in various configurations."
I've never met Darcy, chicklit, but I'm hoping she doesn't stand me up for our standing lunch date when she comes to town next year. Anyone who once dated a tugboat captain is a friend of mine.
I have an idea for a "Diamonds are a girls best friend" in CBGB's where Sean Penn meets Madonna that revolves around the fact that he can't handle the man in the boat, but I have to figure how to word it right.
Apparently, even Instapundit is reading Trooper York these days.
ReplyDeleteYou think he would throw me a link?
ReplyDeleteI think he was offended when I was doing that threes company parody about him and Althouse and Dr. Helen when they all met up for lunch in New York.
He's the Queen Mary of the Internet and I am just a little tug boat.
ReplyDeleteHey tugging. I hope people don't start tugging each other on the street or another war will break out here.
Hey, tugboats are cool. I used to date a tugboat captain.
ReplyDeleteYou think he would throw me a link?
ReplyDeleteYou deserve an insta-launch. Maybe try giving him a tag, I mean what have you got to lose?
Aww...McClintock! is on TCM.
ReplyDeleteI literally live in a tug boat.

ReplyDeleteActually, those little bunks on the boat were where the fun was.

ReplyDeleteI think I just figured something out here. Were (are) you and Darcy "linked"?

ReplyDeleteTales of the Tugboat Captain
ReplyDeleteI think this has promise as an HBO series.
Darcy: Were you playing shuffleboard on the Lido Deck with Captain Stubby?
ReplyDeleteHey Troop - all the best for the New Year. 'Cept that Giants winning thing.
ReplyDeleteSomething like that, Ruth Anne. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHuh. Never thought I'd be jealous of a tugboat captain.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I worked on a towboat on the Ohio River during the winter of 1977. Alas, there was no fun in my bunk.
ReplyDeleteMaybe those saltwater jobs are more fun.
Aww, blake!
ReplyDeleteThose are jugs that women has.

Hey, Titus... happy new year from your friend, Meade. I hope you have a fabulous year. I really do.
Darcy, cute link.

ReplyDeleteHa ha ha... great idea, Troop. I'm fully confident in your ability to find the... right words.
