We went to Pink and Black Tie Gala last night and it was a lot fun. We sat at Stacy's table and got to bid on a lot of great stuff in the silent auctions (more about that later).
They had several awards and presentations to various doctors who do great work in working for a cure and others who are treatment specialists. Most of Brooklyn was there. Well the movers and shakers of Brooklyn who want to make an appearance and show the flag.
I met the lady who is the director of the American Cancer Society's Brooklyn chapter and told her that if there was anything we could do that we would be there. Our small celebrity can be used by them in any way that would leverage help for the Society. I want to use some women who had cancer next season and will reach out to them to get some prospects. Cancer victims often have a treatment regime that leads to a big weight gain due to steroids or chemo or whatever. So they would be great candidates for the show to help other people who are in the same circumstances.
Anything we can do to give back we will do because we are truly blessed.
