The Heart of the Matter

So today was doctor day and we have a plan of action.
The medication is not really cutting it as my a-fib is still going crazy and my heart is racing at unacceptable speeds. So I am going in for ablation surgery this December 9th.
I decided to wait until after Thanksgiving because I didn't want to mess up the holiday and the big shopping day right after it. I will have time to recover before Christmas so that sounds pretty good.
After the doctor we went to the little tea house that we like on Hoyt St. The owner is our new best friend which always happens when we go to a new place. I found out way too much as usual. The guy turns out to be Iranian. He was telling how he goes back and forth to go home because his Dad is sick but wants to come to America because the Doctors are so much better. Pretty funny right?
Anyways he made me this great spinach omelet with onion and tomato and lots of great Middle Eastern spices with no oil or salt. It was great. He kept pouring the tea and chatting with us. It was very nice.
Then Omar our regular car service guy who is from Bangladesh came to pick us up to go to the factory in Sunset Park. This is the factory where are stuff is made in Brooklyn. The owners and all the workers are Chinese and this was the first time Lisa had gone there. She introduced herself to all the workers and thanked them for their hard work. Then we loaded up the SUV with twenty coats and about 200 tops. Omar wouldn't let me lift a finger.
It was a typical Brooklyn day. Hanging out and drinking tea with Iranians. Being driven and helped by a dude from Bangladesh. Working with a shitpot full of Chinese. It is why it is so much fun being called a racist by a moron like the Crack Emcee.
You have to laugh.
Just not to much before the operation. Why take a chance.

Well Doctor how is my blood pressure

"Pretty good for a former fat fuck. You can't do much blogging on Friday though. You will have to rest. One thing though?"
"Yes what's that Doc?"
"Did anyone ever tell you that you look like the Man?"
"Si, Chico."

I am trying to work a little bit each day

So each day I try to do a little bit more. Last Thursday I sat on a chair in the middle of the store and opened up and unpacked all the new pocketbooks and handbags.

Guess what? One of them is named the "Darcy" It is the little black and white number I am holding in the photo.

How come Darcy never told us she was a pocketbook. Jeez

I had a Doctor appoint today so I thought I would bring my new skinny head

I had a Doctor appointment with the new guy today which looks like it is going to be a regular thing. The gizmo is working perfectly and we are regulating my meds so I can work towards an ablation in the next couple of months.
When we were finished we went for a walk down Atlantic Avenue. I loved walking in the sun. Jeez I sound like I am a hundred fuckin' years old.
Anywho we went to this little bistro we found last week. The owner was a very pregnant white girl who made the omelet you see to spec. That is very little oil and not salt. It was the first outside food since the hospital and it was delicious.
So we stop outside but the girl is not there. There is some bald headed Ali Baba Arab guy behind the counter. But we said screw lets go in we can always just have tea.
Turns out he is the husband of the girl and a very nice guy. They had the baby two weeks early and now he has to work ten hour shifts. But he was very happy. We do what we always do and got his whole life story. I had a delicious crepe with eggs and spinach with no salt and very little oil or butter. The Arab spices he put in it were delicious. It had eggs, shallots, spinach, peppers and lots of spice. I don't know if it is on my diet but it was great. Now this will become our regular thing.
The only downer was that all our regular car service guys took the day off since the Jug Eared Jesus was in town about thirty blocks away. So traffic was fucked big time. They figured they would work at night instead. Eventually we grabbed a cab home.

I don't know if I will be posting a lot today?

I haven't been feeling well and I couldn't sleep last night. So I am up at the crack of 8am to comment.
That really sucks. I like to get up at the crack of noon on my day off which is Tuesday. Like the Crack Emcee I like colored people time you know what I mean?

I have been coughing a lot and have a little shortness of breath. My doctor assures me it is allergies but he is a quack so I am going to a specialist. It feels like I am underwater and I am trying to breath. Plus I have a back ache from straining it with the coughing. Lisa is yelling at me to get better so I have to take care of it.

I wish I was back in the actual water where losing your breath is part of the deal.

I could really use a drink right now!

After a long week a cocktail is a man's reward. Or a woman's for that matter. Don Draper didn't invent that. He just help make it popular again.

I would love to have a martini. A dirty dry gin martini. In a frosty cold glass. Shaken not stirred. Three olives.

I am fucking dying here!

The face of sick wears its sunglasses at night.

So now I feel a little better and went it to work at the store. The only thing is Lisa is making me wear sunglasses inside as my eyes are really fucked up. They are totally blood shot and scarey!

Now I almost never wear sunglasses even when I am out in the sun. So this is a new experience for me. When I wore them into the deli all the guys gave me shit. "Hey Hollywood what are you filming again."

I said "Yeah" and took off my glasses so they could see the scarey blood shot orbs. "I am filming a sequel to the Twilight Saga. This time they are making them with fat fucks!"

This is the face of sick!

This is what I looked like Monday night. The freaking contagious pink eye hit me hard and the cold just ran me down until I could barely stand. I had that fever and was alternately shivering and sweating. It sucked big time.

Luckily I went to the doc for meds and I started to beat it back. I have to very careful not to touch my eyes which is tough because they are freaking itchy. But I did the eyedrops and what not and it seems to be clearing up.

Of course Lisa had to take a photo to send to everyone because I am never sick so people didn't believe me when I canceled out of stuff. I mean I would have loved to go to the cigar night but it just wasn't in the cards.

I will be your huckleberry.....

Let me tell you being sick sucks big time.

Both Lisa and I have been out for three days. Which fucks up the store since we had no one to work it so we had to close. No money. No sales. No shit.

We are gingerly going back to work. We are not coughing like Doc Holiday and the wife is busy lysoling everything in sight to kill germs that we might have spread by coughing so as not to get reinfected.

I have the bonus of having pink eye in both eyes so I will have to wear sunglasses behind the counter to not scare the customers. I am being very careful about not touching my eye as this is very contagious and easily spread and I am washing up every five minutes or so.

All in all after this experience of coughing even five seconds it is amazing to me that Doc Holiday was as happy a guy as he was. I just want to shoot everyone on sight.

(Thanks to everyone for the best wishes)

I am as sick as shit.

I have been very sick the past few days. We are running ourselves into the ground working all of these hours. With no employees it is impossible to catch up. We run from one thing to another. Even on our usual day off we had to go into the city for the show. That killed me.

I am dragging ass and don't have to energy to do much on the internets. I will do better soon. Have faith.

I hate when I don't feel good.

I have been fighting off an lung infection the last week or so. It was really knocking me out. I always used to get something similar at the end of the tax season when the stress and the overwork would just knock me on my ass. But we have been going nonstop for weeks with the store and winding down the accounting practice and the secret project. So I am really dragging ass.

So much so that I actually went to the doctor which I do about every decade. He prescribed an antibiotic. Now I never take an antibiotic when I am sick. I just use Nyquil and Vic's Vapor Rub and Luedens cough drops and man up and fight my way through it. But I was not able to do it this time so I broke down and got some pills. I have been taking them and it is working well especially since I am not immune to the effects as I never take them so they are cleaning me out if you know what I mean.

We are taking off Monday and Tuesday of next week so hopefully I can get some rest. Of course they are going to film "What Not to Wear" next Thursday so we will have another crazy week but hopefully I can rest enough so I am not dragging ass.

Thanks for all the good wishes.

So I got my Chaka Khan's aligned

So last week the wife and I went for a massage. But it wasn't one of those pleasurable ones you get at the hotel spa when you are on vacation. It was a deep tissue massage that was really a medical massage. It hit all the pressure points to release the toxins that have built up in our systems.

One of our new customers told us about her practice in which she does a medical massage. We both have been feeling poorly and we needed something for our various aches and pains. So on our day off we went to get a massage.

At the risk of having the Crack Emcee lose his mind, she is also into this healing thing with stones and electromagnetic stuff or something. I didn't really understand it but I figured it couldn't hurt. But the massage sure did.

She dug in there with her fingers into my bad leg and my shoulder and the pain was excruciating. But I have to admit after it I felt much better. Of course the next day I thought I was gonna die. It released all of the toxins and I had to drink gallons of water to flush it out of my system. I just recovered a couple of days ago.

But there was one funny thing that happened. Now you know the deal about me and cats.
I mean I love pussy but I hate cats. I scieve them. But whenever a cat sees me it has to come over and rub against my leg or sit in my lap or something. The bar cat might come up from the basement and all the girls will go "Oh here cute kitty...come here" and the fucking fleaball will make a b-line right to me. So the masseuse has a cat that was sitting motionless on a tall piece of furniture. I thought it was stuffed until it moved after staring at me for ten minutes straight. It sits there the whole time the wife is getting a massage. But when it's my turn it jumps down to the floor. So I go "Watch out for the cat because cats love me" and she goes "Oh don't worry she won't jump on the table, she is well trained." So you know what it does. It goes to the next room and knock all my clothes down and makes a nest of them and goes to sleep in it. With her fucking disgusted cat head sticking out of the leg hole of my shorts. What the Fuck? The wife had to chase it away and put my stuff on a high shelf where it couldn't get at it. It was just a pain in the ass.

But at least one good thing happened. Titus will be pleased. I got my Chaka Kahn aligned.

Sorry I was not around...I had to go see somebody.

But I was a little under the weather. The long work weeks have been kicking my ass. I have been busy with closing down my accounting practice, working in the store and working on my new big project.

So I got really run down with a bad cold that had bad side effects. The wife forced me to go to the doctor and he gave me some anti-boitics and cough medicine. Since I have never taken anti-biotics they worked really well and destroyed the cold. The only problem is that it makes you drowsy and I had to rest.

I will be back in full mode on Friday.

Thank's for keeping the comment's section hopping while I was away.
