I got your shelter in place right here....
I can't believe that so many people are listening to the panic being spread by the mainstream media and stopping their life. I had to go to the Post Office to bring our on-line sales this week. Of course the wife insisted I wear gloves and a mask. We got the mask from a nurse we met in Stop and Shop earlier in the week. We were talking about it and when she heard about my health status she went to her car and got us masks. So the wife forced me to wear one.
When I got to the desk the half a retard who works there was wearing a mask and gloves too. Of course was touching everything and then rubbing his bald head so I don;t think he protected jack shit. Still and all the office manager was there. I used to know him when he was a lowly mailman and my office was in Rockville Centre. He goes "Jim I never thought you would be wearing a mask."
I said "Well I know I am going to die because of the corona virus. Not from getting sick but because I am going to get nagged to death."
You see my wife and my mother-in-law are the Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig of naggers. They never stop. This bullshit panic has them going crazy. Then when I posted this to face book my daughter started rage texting me from Florida about not going out. What a fucking mess. Somebody is going to have to pay for destroying our economy for a flu bug that is going to end up being slightly worse than a normal flu season. I just can't believe how people give up their basic civil rights so easily when the government decides to tell them what to do. Don't they know when they give up these rights it is very hard to get them back. Look at what happened after 911. After that mess they passed the Patriot Act where they set up the bogus FISA court and spyed on the phones of most of America. You think they would have cancelled that after what they did to Trump and the people on his campaign. But no they are going to renew it. The only thing stopping them is Senator Ron Paul. I don't know if he can hold the line.
This bogus crisis has tinpot dictators trying to control every aspect of our lives. They are destroying businesses and peoples lives. The cure is a lot worse than the disease.

It is still soft....the opening that is
We finally put the finishing touches on the new store last night. The gay guy who make our curtains finally showed up and we were able to put them on the dressing room pole. Lisa merchandised the store to make it attractive and to make it easier to get at the product without searching all through both stores as we have been doing for the past couple of months. It was a lot of work. In and amongst a lot of other work we have been doing. But it is shaping up nicely.
We have already had a pretty good response. Yesterday we sold a French bra that went for $170. It is by a famous French company and a French broad bought it. She is going to spread the word to all the other frogs in the neighborhood so it looks like we might have a busy weekend God willing.
Now that is not our typical price point. We have a bunch of sets at around sixty dollars which is about as low as you can go without sell Kmart or Wallmart type stuff. Plus plenty of Spanx and stockings and hose and bra extenders and who knows what else to make a buck.
I am leaving the lights in the window on overnight to get people to peek inside. It is with low wattage LED blubs so it shouldn't cost me all that much and might be a good ploy.
Let's hope it works!

Another walk on the Boardwalk
Boardwalk Empire is back and I didn't even know it!
It started up again two weeks ago and I had to catch up on demand. I like to watch it to see the depiction of the gangster and Mafia doings in the 1930's. I am a student of that era so I enjoy seeing how they change and distort it. Which is fine since this fiction after all.
They have jumped forward seven years to 1931 when Prohibition is about the change. The covered the end of the Castellemarse war with the famous hit of Joe Masaria in Coney Island. Soon they will show the hit on Maranzano and the setting up of the Commission by Lucky and Meyer. Plus they are hitting the era of Capone and Ness in Chicago.
One of the most interesting subplots is Knucky going to get investors so he could start importing Barcardi rum after Prohibition is repealed. In the meeting he is questioned by Joe Kennedy the father of JFK and RFK. As many know (and many do not) he was a gangster who partnered up with Luciano and Lanksy and other bootleggers. I have almost never seen him as a character in a story about that era and his involvement in crime which was the foundation of the Kennedy fortune. So it is going to be really, really interesting to see how they are going to handle this.

Ah...to relax and not have to worry
We are leaving for the Hamptons this afternoon. Our production head and pattern maker is heading back to California and we are dropping her off at JFK. Then three hours in the cars until we reach Westhampton.
We deciided against bringing the pillow top and the pillows to the house since we couldn't sneak them in our suitcase. So we will have to rough it. I plan to spend more time laying out on the lounge chairs on the deck. Which has the added benefit of giving me some privacy because who wants to look at that?
I hope everyone has a wonderful and healthy and Happy Labor Day Weekend.

Hey I am too busy working hard to keep up with who hates me today
I can't even take blurry photo's. I end up taking suspended animation photo's.
Over at Lem's I was saying how I think Stephen A Smith is a moron and AJ Lynch started to go after me. Which was kind of a surprise but in retrospect not so much. He had a lot to say in the Althouse dust up and described me a noisy drunk who got thrown out of the bar. I think he is a big partisan of Althouse and decided to come over to Lem to give me a couple of shots. Which is fair enough. But I have to laugh.
He told me I get sideways with anyone I deal with on a regular basis. Which is of course not true. It might be true of people I meet on the internets who you naturally get in arguments with because that is what you do on the internets. But let me if I get sideways with youse guys.
Since I lost 40 pounds I don't have to turn sideways anymore. I am too busy to pay attention to this shit anymore.

True Yankees
It was pretty interesting that the only baseball players worthy of being in wax were True Yankees. No Cardinals. No Red Sox. No Mets. Just true Yankees.
And of course the greatest Yankee of them all!

Left holding the bag......
So my granddaughter flew in from Florida and we went to meet her at JFK. She is fifteen now and she is a mini-Lisa. They are two peas in the pod. They ran off and left me holding the bag. And the purse. And the stuffed animals.
Lisa tweeted this photo and JFK retweeted it. So thousands of people got to see Grandpa is grumpy.

I had to call out my minions...
Because we had to ship off our New York Fabric to California. As I might have mentioned the fucking Chinese cunt who was doing my manufacturing has been ripping me off like crazy and when we started questioning her she was suddenly too "busy" to do our stuff. So we had to collect all of our fabric and ship it to Cali for it to be done about 80% cheaper.
Omar and I got the stuff and brought it to the back store which is still waiting for the construction to start. We got the guys together and started packing up the fabric.
We wrapped the fabric up in brown paper and then put it in the plastic fabric shipping sleeves that I had to buy to ship it without damages. Sometimes we combined a few rolls that only had odds and ends on it.
We had to pack up and label about twenty five rolls of fabric. We had twist ties for the end after we got all of the air out of the envelopes. With the World Cup blaring in the background on a Iphone we worked away a Sunday afternoon.
Thank God I have every Bangledeshi cab driver in Brooklyn on my payroll or I would never get anything done.
Now they are working on running my cable line to the next room. Life is strange sometimes.

Why this blog exists
One of the first plugs I got for this blog came from Michael Haz who said he liked it because it was about tits.......and sandwiches.
Lisa sent me some enhanced photos of our trip to Brennan & Carr's so I wanted to share them with you.
Of course she had to give me some embarrassing candid shots like this one of me slurping down a mozzarella stick.
She loves to get those shots where I look like a big dummy. It makes her giggle when I look stupid. Which I have to admit is most of the time.
So enjoy the sandwiches. Oh yeah. And the tits!

Oh Shirt!
The new Hawaiian Shirts are in! Fresh from Oahu and the Honolulu Shirt company is a new batch of shirts for the new season.
I am very happy!
Here we have a new favorite Florida style shirt with alligators and killer whales. As well as a simple flowery one for more sedate occasions. You know. Like church.
Here we have two of our favorite recurring motifs. Drunken parrots and tropical drinks. They just go together.
These are my two favorites. You have already seen the Florida one. But the gambling one is way cool. it has cards and a drink and dice and chips. But best of all it has a stubby cigar sitting on an ashtray that looks like a penis. Right on your nipple. Makes a statement you know what I mean?
Of course the wife is a fashionista and asked me what was I thinking? I told her "Hey they were originally $100 but they were on sale for $19.99 Why would they do that?" She said "I think I know."
I don't care. I like them. They are officially in the rotation.
Cat Man Don't
The problem with visiting Aimee and Chuck is that they have too many fucking cats. Too many is technically designated as more then one.
I am very allergic to cats. If I get cat hair on my fingers and touch my eye they well up like I was Chuck Wepner or the Evil Blogger Lady after a Sunday night of blogging and punching with the Lawnboy. So I have to be careful.
But cats are like women. If you don't want anything to do with one they are all over you. This one had to jump next to me on the counter and was looking to stand on my head.
Sometimes pussy will just not leave you alone.
Scary!

Oy my little yiddisher pickel
"I miss you ricpic."
"You never come around anymore. You don't write me poems the way you used to when we were keeping company."
"Remember when we lived side by side in Brownstones in Crown Heights. With your friend the Crack Emcee."
"Those were the days."

Whose that author?
“She's going to do nothing but try to trick information out of me that I shouldn't be giving her, Mac," I said.
"Ungh," Mac agreed.
"Why did I say yes?"
Mac shrugged.
"She's pretty," I said. "Smart. Sexy."
"Ungh."
"Any red-blooded man would have done the same thing."
"Hngh," Mac snorted.
"Well. Maybe not you."
Mac smiled a bit, mollified.
"Still. It's going to make trouble for me. I must be crazy to go for someone like that." I picked up my sandwich, and sighed.
"Dumb," Mac said.
"I just said she was smart, Mac."
Mac's face flickered into that smile, and it made him look years younger, almost boyish. "Not her," he said. "You.”

Nothing is better than a tight box...err....a clean box....err....whatever
So we finished the box down the basement. This is a bad photo. here is a better one.
We set up some heavy duty metal poles for coats and dresses and put a bunch of shelves to hold the container store soft canvas storage boxes. It is air tight and cedar lined. Or at lease we used cedar oil on another type of wood. Sixty would know better than me but he has been absent from here lately. I must have done something to piss him off.
I got a bunch of cedar to put throughout the box but cedar itself was way too expensive. This is wood that was treated with cedar oil and I am getting a bunch of cedar blocks to put throughout the box. I think that will be fine.
The lighting was a little tough inside but you get the idea. I transferred a bunch of clothing down to the cellar and cleared out the back room in anticipation of the creation of the lingerie store. I got Omar and Hassan my cabdriver friends to move the stuff down the cellar. They called a couple of their friends to help. Nobody could get a car service for a couple of hours. But we got the job done.
It was very tiring but worthwhile. Now the big renovation can commence.

Welcome Shouting Thomas
Hey I sent out an invite to Shouting Thomas who should be joining us shortly. Right now he is hanging out with the "Old Dawgs" as they are gearing up for the swimsuit competition for Mr. Woodstock New York.
My money is on the Midget.
Take that back McMahon!
The longer I hang around commenting on the internet the more and more I realize it is exacting the same as professional wrestling..
Think about. People choose names and characters and personality traits. They can change over time. You can go from being a hero to being a "heel." Every match is different. Sometimes when you are in a bout your buddies rush the ring. When you are not looking somebody will hit you with a chair. It is basically all fixed. Basically all bullshit. Some people have managers who set them up and others have tag teams.
Now the tag team is an interesting phenomena. Two separate wrestlers are partners in crime. They tag each other in and go and wail on the opponent. When they are villains or "heels" they cheat and try to double team an opponent. Or one distracts the ref while the other does something dirty.
One of the more interesting tag teams starred the Adorable Adrian Adonis. Adonis started out as a biker dude but morphed into a sort of gay wrestler who wore makeup and pink tutus. So he started out as a regular guy but turns into a gay activist. To make money. Sound like somebody you know?
Adrian Adonis had a big feud with a black wrestler know as the Junkyard Dog who wore a chain around his neck and carried a bone. He was like a dog with a bone complaining that people were cheating him because he was black. Sound like anybody you know?
Now imagine that the Adorable Adrian Adonis and the Junkyard Dog teamed up as a tag team. Going from venue to venue causing trouble and distracting the ref while they toss stuff in peoples eyes and gouging them with foreign objects. It seems to be going on lately everywhere you go.
So I think that I am going to term those people Adorable Adrian Adonis and the Junkyard Dog. It seems appropriate.

I like to take a day off now and again
Yesterday was our day off so we tried to relax a little and not get bogged down in the bullshit. We held off making calls and emails and tried to hang out and veg.
We wanted to watch a movie and of course I opted for an old timey movie. With Six You Get Eggroll starring Doris Day and the great Brian Keith. I don't care much for today's movies other than the Marvel Superhero one's and I don't think it is fair to watch my favorites all the time. Lisa had never seen this one and I knew she would enjoy.
Doris was Doris. Beautiful, tasteful and kind. Brian Keith is the type of actor you don't see much anymore. A man. You know. Guys like Brian Keith, Robert Ryan, Charles Bronson and James Coburn are not around anymore. Brian Keith starred in one of the best TV Westerns of all time in 1960. Created and written by Sam Peckinpah it is one of my favorites. So it was fun to see him in a romantic comedy.
The bit parts were also a blast. These two guys played the leaders of a flower power hippie motorcycle gang:
That's right. Corporal Klinger and Father Mulcahy are the leaders of this hippie motorcycle gang talking about "peace and love man it's groovy." A very young George Carlin is the car hop at the drive in. It had two of the best character actresses of all time: Alice Ghostly and Pat Carroll.
But you know what was crazy. The young and luscious daughter of Brian Keith.
What's crazy is that now she is playing the old witch on "Once Upon a Time."

The Rifleman
Lucas McCain was in town when the Sheriff called him over to talk to him.
"Lucas Boy there is a problem in town. This woman has shown up and is demanding that we listen to what she has to say. But she is isn't saying anything really. It's got me stumped."
"I don't reckon that can be too much of a problem Micah. Let's go talk to her."
"Howdy Ma'am. My name is Lucas McCain and I hear you have a problem."
"I don't have a problem big boy. In fact I am not a Ma'am chico. I am a woman born into the body of a man so I have to wear my petticoats to feel right. Your sheriff has the problem. He won't let me go into the ladies out house. Now that is not fair. Or right."
"Well here in Northfork a man is a man and the sheep are nervous. Errr... what I mean is that you have to pick one sex and stick too it. You can't go from being a mare to a stallion. It just ain't natural."
"Well I don't know. You look like a stallion that might like to take a ride without worrying too much about how the horse started out in the corrall chico."
"Now now Miss that has to wait until later in my career. Right now I have to set a good example. Now please go back to your room and change into your chaps. The regular ones. Not the assless ones. Comprende?"

The only understand a boot on their throat.
I am really enjoying the Legal Insurrection blog hosted by Professor Jacobson. It is a real legal blog by a real professor who talks about legal issues and current events like an adult.
He has been following the attempts of radical pro-Palestinian groups on campus who are trying to eject Israeli on more correctly Jewish people from campus. They have gone so far as to distribute eviction notices to individual Jewish students. Now there has been a lot of push back and these attempts at intimidation have mostly failed. So these knuckleheads are talking about "direct action."
You know what that means. Violence. Or threats of violence. And you know that the pussy liberal academics are going to collapse like a cheap suitcase. The only thing that Arabs understand is a boot on their throat.
I hope the Jewish community has a leader who will stand up for the old rules. You know. An eye for an eye. Because that is the only thing that will keep them safe.

Camel Toe Corner
I can't till it gets warm. Soon enough it will be Memorial Day. That's my favorite holiday. Baseball is in full swing. Time for barbeques. Hot dogs. The Indy Five Hundred. Led by the pussy car.
I mean the pace car.
Well you know what I mean.
