The fish rots from the head.

I think it is now pretty clear that the Nutty Perfessor and Chauncey the gardener have been monitoring us here at little old Trooper York. Because what do they have a big post about today: I Love Lucy.

It seems that they downloaded an episode and looked up Ethel in Wikipedia. Kinda suspicious don't you think since I have been talking about Lucy the last few weeks?

When I closed the blog a bunch of people who I didn't know asked to join. If I didn't know anything against them I approved it. So I am sure Chauncey could be here under another name. Which is fine. I am not doing anything wrong here. And they are not blatantly using my content or quoting what I say. It is just every so often they slip up and show their hand.

I think it is kind of funny. And fair enough if they want to comment under a different persona just as I do over at TOP. A girl is entitled to change her mind. And her identity.

Oh and also they have lesbians today. So I thought this photo would be appropriate.

Wait a minute!

Our very good friend Theo Boehm has posted the following notice on his blog:

Dear Friends,

Ever since my son was outrageously attacked on the Althouse blog last summer, I've considering leaving blogging.

After much thought, I have decided to delete this blog and abandon the screen name, 'Theo Boehm.' I will delete this blog tomorrow evening, 9 January. My Twitter and e-mail accounts under the same name will also be deactivated.

I have never been able to devote the time and energy to this blog that it deserves. Expecting the attention and perhaps approval of strangers implies also being the object of their hostility. Such hostility I have gotten, mostly thanks to Professor Althouse, on whose blog I was a long-time commenter.

The good comments as you have made on this blog have been very welcome and more than I deserve. I cannot, however, look at any blog again with the eagerness I once did. All I imagine are the disturbed and hostile people who may read it.

They may be fewer than I suppose, but having had enough of such persons in my life, and a full dose of the internet version of them on Althouse, I find I have no interest in discovering any more in a hobby for which I have, in truth, too little time.

I want to thank everyone for their friendship and kindness, especially the wonderful people I met in the old Althouse community. I also want to include more recent friends whom I've been blessed to have found in this disembodied realm.

I may return to the internet under my own name on Facebook, where I can stay in touch with family, friends and colleagues without the worry of the blogosphere. I cannot definitely say I will do this, but I would welcome it if we were to meet again in perhaps a better place on the internet.

So, it is with true sadness that I take my leave, saying goodbye, and praying that God may truly bless you all.

'Theo Boehm'

I find this almost surreal. Inconceivable. Horrible. I hope that you will email me Theo at trooperkirbyyork@live.com so I can keep in contact with you.

Everybody has to do what they have to do. You closed your comments so I can't get through. But just know that you will really be missed. And you are welcome here at any time in any guise you might want to assume. Without fear or favor.

All the best to you and your family. You know where Lee Lee's is at. Come by and see us sometime.

Your pal

I just don't like some of those commenters!

There was a lot of nasty people and nasty talk at the evil blogger ladies place today. It was all about the juice box mafia and Jounolist and Jewish people. From the tenor of some of these remarks I think some of these people have never met a Jewish person in their life. It was very nasty and un-called for.

Maybe Theo is right and I should just post boring stuff like he does. (he said that not me).

But it does leave a bad taste sometimes. Just sayn'

Let's not refight the last war!

Now she was perfectly right since I did not tag it Not Safe for Work. But when she said thing of "Deep thoughts" I said to myself "Hey what's deeper than Christy Canyon?"

Now I linked to this photo which is not so bad, but the rest of the site had more "revealing" photo's that were in fact not safe for work. So she was perfectly right and I agree totally with what she did.

I do not agree with her characterization of Christy as "gross" but hey that's just me.

So you can't start any trouble Titus. I mean if I wanted to start trouble I would have made a very funny but mean joke that should be obvious to one and all but I am turning over a new leaf.

So far.

Blogging heads at Loggerheads

You know sometimes when two people fight who you really don't care for you don't have a rooting interest. Even if you think one of them is right. You just can't get into it.

It is sort of like the Iran-Iraq war.

Avast you dirty pirate whores!

Capt. Sir Henry Morgan: I wish my nature hadn't changed. I'd have made that whole assembly walk the plank.
Jamie: Can't go wrong drowning politicians, Henry.
Jamie: You can lower your pistols, Lady Margaret.
Margaret Denby: Unfortunately, I have no pistols.
Jamie: Your eyes. I've looked into pistol barrels that are warmer.
