That Ted Williams was a fighter pilot in both World War 2 and Korea. In Korea he flew 39 combat missions with John Glenn in his squadron.

In all of those missions fighting dogfights over the frozen Chosin....he never....I mean never...he never lost his head.

That Yankee Hall of Famer Yogi Berra was a D-Day as a gunners mate on a rocket launcher landing craft at Omaha Beach. He served in the European theatre until he suffered a hand wound and was sent back to the states.

He was happy with his wound since he was covering up a more vital region. You see he only wanted to be known as a bad ball "hitter." So to speak.
