Nah it couldn't be.....could it?

So when we market a dress we often talk about what it reminds you of. For example when we made the flowing Anna Lucia belted shirt dress we said it reminded you of "I Love Lucy" especially when we made it in polka dots.

One of the shows we often cite is AMC's "Mad Men." Many of our dresses are reminiscent of the look of the sixties. Sometimes we see a dress and get an inspiration as to a design to work off of to create a new style.

So imagine our surprise when we saw what Joan Holloway was wearing in the episode this past Sunday. She was wearing our "Rosemarie Ruffle Dress!" HOLY CRAP! Did the costume designer for the show rip off one of our dresses?

Lately a couple of other plus designers have ripped off some of our designs and we know that several costume designers follow us on twitter and Facebook. So it is very conceivable that they adapted one of our original designs to use on the show. That's fashion for you. Everybody rips everybody off.

Life imitating Art. Or Art imitating Life. Or something.

Also, that chick everyone's so ga-ga about...Joan Holloway? Hendricks? She's hyooge by Hollywood/Fashion standards. Size 14 at least. 30" waist, again, at least. She could eat Marilyn.

And she don't look nothin' like the female athletes with similar height/weight stats.

I am relaxing today but am going Mad tonight!

We took the day off today so blogging and commenting are light.

But we are getting ready for the season premiere of Mad Men on AMC tonight.

I know our cousin Ron is all ready to go. He emailed me that he is already sitting in front of the TV naked and covered in butter while he is waiting for his first glimpse of Joan.

The wife has been preparing a post about five outfits that Joan Holloway wore on MadMen and how you can recreate it with a contemporary twist.

Never Say Diet liked it so much that they are featuring it on IVillage (the main NBC site) next week. I will keep you posted.

How did she do that?

I ask you Ron, (because I know you played a lot of attention) how the heck did Joan Holloway play the accordian on Mad Men on Sunday without getting her protruding nips caught in the keys?

Will someone explain that to me?

I bet Ron would volunteer to be her monkey if she wanted to do some organ grinding.
