Defund the NFL

All of us have our own hobbyhorses. You know that issue that really gets you up in arms. For many moolies it is police brutality. For some woman it is sexual harassment in the Me Too style as long as it doesn't affect people who have the same politics.

For me it is the Anti-Americanism of the NFL.

We had a perfect example of the cowardice and the abrogation of American values in the recent Drew Breeze fiasco. He sent out an innocuous tweet that said that all lives matters. The virtue signalling and the social justice police came down on him and punked out like a little bitch.

Watch Joe Namath get creamed.

That's what football used to be about. Players on the field. Men were men and stood by their opinions. Their flag. Their country. They didn't surrender to the politically correct mob.

Here is head poofter Roger Goodell abandoning a large segment of his fan base:

“We, the National Football League, condemn racism and the systematic oppression of black people,” Goodell continued. “We, the National Football League, admit we were wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier and encourage all to speak out and peacefully protest. We, the National Football League, believe Black Lives Matter. I personally protest with you and want to be part of the much-needed change in this country.”

I have given up on the NFL ever since the kneeling for the National Anthem began. I had been a fan for fifty years but I walked away. I urge all patriotic Americans to follow suit and leave this anti american league made up of felons and racial activists to stew in their own juices.

Defund the NFL.

I am ashamed of the un-American behavior portrayed by these very wealthy (and usually poorly informed) athletes. They make a crap ton of money, but somehow feel oppressed by this new political movement (face it... BLM is a Marxist movement that cares not about REAL violence against black people)
I am approaching not watching any sports at all.
Cornhole might be my new addiction.

Not Watching...Not allowing the games to be broadcast in my home. If they want to protest, do it on their own time. To use their stage that we all pay for to flaunt their BLM this that or the other is condescending. We support pro sports because it gives all of us the time away form politics/work/day to day grind. Sorry Commissioner, you called this wrong. Have the flag and the anthem honored...brave men and women ensured that you and your players have the freedom to play a game. Use some of the NFL $ to make public service announcements or better yet, let the players actually do something REAL about social injustice. Come with me when I feed the homeless. Go to Chicago and talk about the murder rate. #defund the NFL

I totally agree, if the players want to make change lets do this... you make a million dollars a year (low est) you can live on say 100,00.00 -200,000.00 per year why not pledge the remaining 800,000.00 to families in need. With that kind of money you can support 16 families in need $50,000.00 a year. Pledge your financial support until they are able to get back on their feet 30 days, a year however long it takes to get to the level of income they can support their family. Same for the NBA and NBL. Let just think of how many households LaBron James could take care of in a year. So don't bad mouth fellow Americans for their success do something about it, help a family in need get back on there feet
