It's a tough job but somebody has to do it!

Hey sorry because the blogging was a little light the last couple of days. I was at the trade shows with the wife picking out stuff for the store. We are doing all of our buying in the New York shows since the Vegas shows have been a dud the last few times we went.

Today I spent all day looking at models in linigerie. We had to take in a new deep plunge and soft cup strapless bra so there was a lot of work involved. I had to set there while models changed and out of bras and panties and other intimate apparal.

This is a photo of the model of a new brand called Elomi that we are adding in to the store.

It's a tough job but somebody has to do it.

Tell you what dude. If you want to meet a bunch of gay dudes the Curve show was the place to be. You couldn't swing a dead cat and not hit a mo.

Of course you couldn't swing a pussy because they would run screaming.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

It has always intrigued me that so many gay men are designing women's clothing. Not that there is anything wrong with that. It is just the sheer preponderance of the percentage that I find staggering. What percent of fashion designers are straight dudes? You figure gay men are 3 to 7% of the population, maybe 10% if you count the bi guys. But they rule the fashion industry.

We do tend to swarm like locusts sometimes. There seem to be lots of gay truckers, too, which seems kind of weird.

Well, somebody has to do the dirty work.

How many credible female designers are there? Donatella V would be nothing without Gianni, Donna Karan would be nothing without Barbra Streisand, and Vera Wang secretly has one, so she doesn't count.

If we'd let women design their own clothes, they'd still be in grass huts.

The gay ones really want to wear the clothes, and the models have to have the bodies of 13 y.o. boys.

I've never heard that, but it would make sense. Many long distance truckers are gone for days at a time. Women don't seem to like that in husbands these days, because they've indulged the estrogen and made themselves emotionally fragile and needy, unlike their sturdy forebearers.

I agree with you, Ralph. I am all for bears.

Jason, you won't be looking because Troop has it ALL covered... so to speak.

Now I find that delightful! Thanks for sharing that tidbit. I really appreciate facts that create tension with stereotypes. Gay truckers is a really fun thought.

Have a good one Jason, and watch out for Smokey. (I made a bear joke.)

A soft cup stapless?!? How the hell does it stay up? Long line to anchor diagonally to various points on the waist?

Thank heavens that you're not posting underwear pics of Kirstie Alley.

That's a load for any trucker, gay or otherwise.

By the way, during this summer's travels we noticed a lot of what appeared to be lesbian couples driving over-the-road trucks.

Aw, I love Kirstie. None of us are always looking our best. Except Grace Kelly.

This model is hot, though. Makes you realize that the "plus" in "plus size" is, like, an A+.

Imagine that model bending and streching and touching her toes so you can see what the lingiere looks like in action. And you so tired you are falling asleep in your chair. "Sure honey we have enough for 25 units in the budget."

Welcome to my world.

Christy you are exactly right. We don't know how this is going to work but the rep is coming to the store to bring his samples so we will see.

I will keep you posted.

That is if you are interested.

Synchronicity, Trooper. I was just reading a book on sewing for larger sizes and paid particular attention to building strapless bras. The engineer in me wants to understand how every structure supports itself.
