Trooper, Look at it this way. A 41 year old quarterback clears his throat and a team increases his pay form $12 million to $20 million. And exempts him form pre-season workouts.

He shit on millions of die hard fans in the state, and all around the country, that's why. They did nothing but love and support him through all his trials and tribulations in his years in GB. And there were many. All over a quibble with a few people in the front office in GB. He traded away something he will not, and cannot ever get back by going out of his way to stick it to GB and go play for the enemy. It's nothing like Bart Starr. He is a Packer for life. Favre will never be a Packer for life. His choice, not mine.
BTW Garage I was sympathtic to your cause for a while: proof. But then the season came around a bunch of Packer fans became Viking fans. And he put on a pretty good show for the Vikes until Beth's team got hold of him.
"The only thing that could be worse for me is the Bears, and I don't know if that would be worse," Kramer said, according to the report. "Brett Favre wearing a Vikings uniform playing the Packers? That's about as bad as it gets."
Even ex-Packer Fuzzy Thurston, who had a close bond with Favre, is upset. Framed photos of Favre no longer hang on the walls in Thurston's home, according to the report -- even the one that's personally autographed to Thurston's wife and reads: "To Sue -- From your favorite Packer, Brett Favre. Too bad, Fuzzy.
Pollo In my view the Packers gave him more than he deserved, after year after year of waffling, dragging the team down into spring not knowing whether he would play that year. Then the retiring, un-retiring. The Packers actually agreed to let him un-retire the very last time he requested (after telling the team he was retired months earlier), then Favre blew them off after they scheduled a plane to MS to talk to him. They then gave the job to Rodgers, then Favre once again wanted to un-retire. That part of the story almost never gets told. If Favre's beef was with the Packers front office he could have "proved them wrong" with virtually any team, if he was as good as he thinks he is - like the Jets - but he mailed in that season.
My personal opinion is that much of Favre's conduct the past 4 years is directly the result of the drafting of Aaron Rodgers, and what Favre seen in practice from Rodgers. Rodgers = all class. Favre = all ego.
Not agreeing with your assignments to living people, but it's my casual observation that much of modern day sports values the latter characteristic and not the former. In fact, that's by and large why I care so little.
I hate Sarah Jessica Parker, Robin Williams, Tim Robbins, Susan Saradon, the BJ Hunnicut guy, brussel sprouts, the Boston Red Sox, commies and well, lawyers.

You and I should be so smart.
Still why his he sending everybody photo's of Jeremy?
Hahahaha. Beautiful.
So why do you think Favre is like Hitler garage?
Don't understand the rage.
I mean it's kinda like dumping on Starr. Sure you can do it but that doesn't make it right.
I also mean that I thought you were a peace and love hippy dippy kinda guy.
I guess I was wrong?
Actually it's the mustache.
Plus Hitler used to send water color paintings of his penis to his neice.
I didn't make that up!

Well I won't pretend to know the details of his departure but I suspect that there was a little more to it than that.
You might try googling Alfred Bader sometime.
Here I'll save you the trouble: linkage.

Doesn't even matter how he left. It's who he left for. And wanted to leave for.
Ask a few Packer greats. They'll tell you.

Get over it. Favre has free will and can do whatever the hell he wants to do.
The idiots who manage the Packers threw him under the bus before he was ready to quit.
Who won more games last year, Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers? Favre; he is the better player.
The Packers built the shiny, new Lambeau Field on Brett Favre's arm. The Pack OWED him better treatment than they gave.
Minnesota is a great place for all his bullshit, and head-scratching season ending interceptions.
The Pack OWED him better treatment than they gave.
What say ye to this charge Garagecus?
Or will you stick to your in vindiction veritas position?
Pollo

College football is the best.
College football is the best.
When it comes to sports, Darcy is the best. We both know that.
I thought that went without saying :)
College football is the best.
I'm with both of you guys on that point. It is the best.
In fact, that's by and large why I care so little.
A casual bystander might not have observed that lack of care.
