There's a movie called The Wrecking Crew (2008) that I want to see. I'm expecting it to be a bit like Standing In The Shadow of Motown" (2002) which told the story of studio musicians who played the instruments on many familiar recorded hits from the '60's. Back then, studio time was very expensive and was billed out to record companies per hour. Record companies didn't trust young upstart musicians to get things right, and these guys(and gals) had the talent to get thing things right on the first or second take. Hal Blaine was a famous studio drummer who actually played all the drum parts on the Beach Boys songs (while Dennis Wilson was either out surfing or partying down with Charles Manson). The reason I bring this up is because Nancy Sinatra's hit These Boots Are Made For Walking was entirely played by the Wrecking Crew in L.A. The memorable bassline in the beginning of "Boots" required two basses: an upright bass does the first descending line and then an electric bass picks up the remainder of the song. It's really obvious if you listen. The electric bass was played by Carol Kaye, who looked pretty hot in a miniskirt and boots back in the day herself: Link.
I hate Sarah Jessica Parker, Robin Williams, Tim Robbins, Susan Saradon, the BJ Hunnicut guy, brussel sprouts, the Boston Red Sox, commies and well, lawyers.
