Do you know who I am?

"No I am afraid I don't know you are dear."
"I am Doctor Richard Kimble. I was falsely accused of killing my wife. Now I am on the run. I am a fugitive."
"That's nice dear. I will still rent you a room. But I have a few rules."
"Ok what are they?"
"No woman in your room. You can't get drunk. Or smoke those funny cigarettes. Oh and one more thing."
"Yes?"
"Stop staring at my tits!"

Next to Sea Hunt, The Fugitive was my dad's favorite TV show. I remember watching him watch it.

The EBL is mocking Raquel. I won't link her, but here is the video she linked.

To paraphraise Pink Floyd: Hey, Professor, leave Raquel alone!

That's not Raquel, that's Darcy!

But leave it EBL to mock a woman prized for her looks...jealousy?

Completely OT: Has anyone here seen The Way? And if so what did you think of it? Especially, since many here are Catholics, from your Catholic perspective. I saw it about two weeks ago and thought it was a pretty good though not great film. But maybe I missed the whole point since my epiphany watching the film was wholly secular in nature. To me the key was the way the little community of pilgrims that forms on the way to Campostela is itself the end they're all looking for, even though it's only human too human and by its very nature temporary. I'd be fascinated to find out what the film said or didn't say to believers.

I have not seen that yet ricpic. I am always wary of Martin Sheen movies. He is a committed Catholic but of the extreme liberal variety.

But I will be watching it on pay per view.

I won't go over to the EBL place. I think I would end posting the same comment at every thread.

"What the fuck do you know about anything?"

You guys all know how I feel about Rocky.

I expect to see some posts mocking Joey Heatherton, Barbara Eden, Elizabeth Montgomery, Angie Dickerson and Marilyn Munster any day now. It is not gonna work this time.

But I will put up some tribute posts to Rocky tonight.

Wait a month or two and you will like catch it on Netflix or cable.

I kind of like the pay per view. You see current movies for about five bucks. That is fine by me.

EBL mocking Raquel, jealous? Hmmm , doesn't she get enough adoration from her "qualty commenters"?

Ricpic--

I saw (and reviewed) The Way on my blog.

Just read your review, blake. Interesting your comment that though God is barely mentioned, maybe not mentioned at all, you got a sense that God is watching the secular pilgrims (a contradiction in terms, I know) as they proceed on their way.

It's strange in that regard, ricpic. And I have to wonder if I'm reading God into it; that is, if you wanted to argue that the movie is entirely atheistic, I'd have a hard time definitively saying otherwise.

But I felt His presence almost throughout. The ending could be considered a statement about the greatness of God and His works versus those of the Church, I think—but again, I couldn't prove it.

Blake, I liked your review. I do want to check this film out.
