Garden City is a suburban community in Long Island. Pretty much par for the course for the suburbs. There are two sections. The high end area and the more solidedly middle class sections. Serviced by the Long Island Railroad it is a bedroom community. It does have some big time chain restaurants and a couple of big catering halls. In short it has very little of a "New York" flavor and could easily fit into California or Florida or any place else that is a true suburb.
I hate Sarah Jessica Parker, Robin Williams, Tim Robbins, Susan Saradon, the BJ Hunnicut guy, brussel sprouts, the Boston Red Sox, commies and well, lawyers.

I do know.
Hey, Troop, what's "Garden City" like? I see it's 30 minutes out of JFK, but I haven't heard of it before.

Gee I hope you ain't moving there. That's a tough one man.
It's a place that came up, yeah.
They're well on the way to ruining California. Of course, I was looking at the job market and actually came up with an interesting job—in Detroit.
Heh. Yeah. Dunno about that. That's sort of like escaping East Germany by fleeing to Romania.
