You know American Idol seems very rushed this year. They jumped right through the solo auditions this week and then did the groups quickly. I don't remember if it is the same as prior years but it seems very rushed and quick to me. Maybe they are going to drag out the eliminations over a couple of weeks. Or they want to avoid the Winter Olympics or something.
They are pimping out a few oddball people though. This one big muscle head dude named Big Mike got lots of air time. He has an infectious personality and he was a new father as they practically put the cameras up his wife's cootch as she gave birth while he was auditioning. Oh well it is a lot better than last years dead wife guy.
They had this elderly rocker chick with black clothes and a real short hairdo. And she was really short and nasty. Sort of like Rhoda's mother channeling Joan Jett or some shit like that. She bullied her group and was an all around twat. I hope they cut her ass quick because a little of her goes a long way.
They had a couple of hippie chicks who sang pretty well especially this one girl who was great on the guitar and had long blond hair. She was a waitress so Simon was able to condescend to her with a straight face. What a douche.
They had one group of freaks who sang Lady Gaga and this one dude did back flips and somersaults and stuff. Really impressed Ellen. But I don't any of them are going to make the final 24.
Sometimes you see people to watch on group night but other than the few I mentioned most of them were sort of run of the mill. It just seems like they are going through the motions. I hope they step it up in the auditions where they can play an instrument.

I used to watch Idol, but haven't in years now, at least until it gets to the last few shows.
I don't know if we have any Survivor fans here, but this season is going to be a good one. Heroes vs Villains, and man they surely have some delicious villains from past shows.
