Yes we decided to take another couple of days at Seatuck. We need to relax and chill out a little because we were running on empty.
Spent the day by the pool relaxing and reading our Kindles.
So try not to get along.

Asking a cow a two part question tends to be a fruitless endeavor. Expect the answer to involve extensive rumination.
As long as this thread involves TOP bleedthrough, chickelit's sucking inwords was smile producing. One of his finer turns.
For Titus: Gay or Vegan?
Huckleberries are wild blueberries, west of the east coast states.

When I was a yout, I lived in White Bear Lake, MN. There was an enormous amount of gooseberries growing on the old tracks of a trolley that went to the Willernie amusement park. I haven't seen any since, nor heard anyone else talking about them around here.
Wild blueberries, picked along the Blue Ridge Parkway near the Graveyard Fields. These ended up in a pie. Much smaller than what you find in your yard or whatever orchard you frequent. These are found on bushes quite close to the ground. You have to squat down (or even sit) to pick rather than stand and pick.
Windbag, are those free range blueberries? Those are the best.
Allen, yes, free range picked at about 5000'. We have dear, dear friends who just moved to North Dakota. This was the last activity my wife and the other woman did together before they left. It had become an annual event over the years; this was just the last one.
We've vacationed with them several times over the years, celebrated almost every Easter and Thanksgiving with them, and now they're gone. When our kids were young, their son requested that they celebrate his birthdays in our basement. We had one rule in the basement: don't break the lights. Kids played racquetball, baseball, shot pool, rode bikes, threw darts (when I forgot to put them up), played whatever musical instruments were laying around, and generally got to be kids without restraint down there.
The husband worked on oil rigs in the Gulf, but that work is disappearing and he was fortunate to land a gig in North Dakota. I miss them already.
In Maryland I used to pick wild raspberries and black berries.
But the best were wild strawberries I found in Pleasant Valley. No other strawberry, before or since, has come close. The intensity of the flavor in those small berries was unbelievable. I just happened to get there before the birds did, what good fortune for me.

Aw, thanks! That's why I keep coming here...all the strokes like that!

Given how Twain memorialized them in his Mississippi River Basin sagas, I wonder if they were once more widespread throughout the US but then receded to more northwestern climes due to over picking--sort of the buffalo berry of wild America?
Well, I have heard of buffalo wings and buffalo chips, but not buffalo berries. I am not going to eat any of them, either.
Tuna of the sea indeed!
Today is the 124th birthday of Monty Woolley, who apparently shared Titus's predilection for dark meat and Trooper's wit.
According to Bennett Cerf in his 1944 book Try and Stop Me, Woolley was at a dinner party and suddenly belched. A woman sitting nearby glared at him; he glared back and said, "And what did you expect, my good woman? Chimes?"
Typecast as himself in the Cole Porter biopic Night and Day.
Would've been a classic TOP commenter.
Chimes.
I went to my Italian friends in Rever for barbecue last night. All his hot high school classmates were there-those girls looks fab-totally real housewives of New Jersey. Big Hair, tans, Big Boobs, big accents and some have amazing younger boyfriends.
We had, seriously. Long italian sausage, stuffed with cheese and garlic, turkey tips, mushroom caps filled with crab and shrimp stuffing, beans, salad, artichoke hearts and then for dessert riccota pie and "pastries".
Tonight is the Feast of The Fishes which we will be going to in the North End. You tack dollar bills on the walking bathtub shrine and there will be games and stuff like that. Also, great music.

buffalo berries
No need to go all Titian on the word canvas, Sixty. I guess I didn't see that coming.
Fettery Unchained
I wear the words I forged in life....I wrote them link by link.
Wolley has a "beard print" at Grauman's. I missed that when I was there last.
That Alexis Smith--the hetero love interest in the Porter biopic--was quite a hottie. I wonder if she'd have been too old to play a convincing Eve Kendall in NxNW.
I can't imagine anyone replacing Eva Marie Saint in NxNW. She was perfect.
Titus, your last comment was so congenitally contrived...were you born that way?
Troop loves these long drawn out tantric threads that happen when he leaves. He probably thinks they're sort of an homage. I know I do, NTTAWWT
I can probably keep the NxNW / Cole Porter linkage going for a while longer, but not indefinitely. Thanks for the hook, chickelit, obscure tho it may be.
Whaddamean obscure? You calling El Pollo Real obscure?
More like chiaroscuro...
Hey, I didn't say it was obscurantist.
I suppose you'd prefer "suggestive".
Now you're suggesting obfuscation.
Just got news that my macbook is going to take a couple days tp fix so I'm going off the grid for a couple days.

Well, that's a fine addition to the lament posted as the first comment.
Cold Turkey for all involved.
That sux. How old is it?
I'm on the verge of buying a new Air. Is that what you're having problems with?

Old. 2005 or so. The problem is the screen light darkening as a function of lid angle and it's getting worse.
Cold Turkey for all involved.
Troop will show up refreshed and post dozens of new topics soon...or
....I come back and this thread has hit 500. This may be what he's shooting for--a new record.
I won't mind a enforced break from TOP.
But I may have to load Twitterfic on my iPhone to read tweets in case the world ends.

for time b/w posts?

First, I do.
Then, I will?
I shudder to think what's next!
Thanks Titus, a good foil is hard to find.
Someone just yelled outside my penthouse unit, "hey, Anu"?
I have to say I ran to the juliet balcony to check it out. I was intrigued but disappointed..alas, my ass, I don't smoke grass, so I gave Anu a pass and now I have gas.
thank you.
Did I tell you they are filming the movie THE HEAT with Sandy Bullock outside my building? Can't swing a cat without hitting a big trailer.
tits.
When I was a little gay I used to love to sing the theme song from Ice Castles.
"Please don't let this feeling end"
It might not cum again"
I also loved to sing Mamory from Cats.
Mammories all alone in the moonlight.
And...
Clang Clang Clang went the trolly!
I was never chosen for games. By the time they got to the last losers they wouldn't even say our names...we would all just kind of walk to one of the teams and by the time we got on the field the game had already started. Group Hug.
I shudder to think what's next!
After the modal auxiliaries comes the axillism moods.
They are the pits.
Jeez, opening game of a Red Sox-Yankees series in the dump at 161st & River Ave and I forgot to log in for the first inning.
How could this happen? Because, alas, what Trooper says irrespective of the evidence is true this year. (Sorry Lem, if you're reading this.)
I wish MLB would get rid of the guaranteed contract.
