Lakers hang on by the skin of their teeth!
I just finished watching the end of the Laker Celtic game and the Lakers just managed to hold on to win. But they will be run out of the building when they get to Boston. The Celtics will bitch slap them because the Lakers have no heart. And no alternative when Kobe can't do it all. They needed to develop a second options like Gasol or Lamar Odom. But they can't control Kobe so they can't control the team. It just goes to show how over rated Big Chief Triangle is as a coach. He should never have let it come to this. When he had Jordan, he had someone who could produce in the clutch. But they really started to win when Jordan started passing off to the likes of Paxson and Kerr for those easy buckets. Kobe needed to work a two man pick and roll game with Gasol who is a deadly shooter. Or get Odom to post down low like Isiah used to do with Adrien Dantley and Mark Aquirre the Wrath of God. Can't anybody coach this game!

I've only been watching it a bit, but don't we (The Lakers) have a history of having one-man teams? Going back to Wilt The Stilt?
Not in the least. Jerry West was on that team. And Magic only won because he had Kareem and James Worhty were fully involved. That's what Kobe has to do if they want to win the championship.
It looks like the Celtics will blow them out in the next game. The refs will give the Celtics all the calls in Boston and the Lakers are too fragile to come back from that.
Well, as I said, I don't follow it much. Only recently because of the sudden interest in basketball around here (The Flower and her mom are playing in leagues.)
From what I've seen, the Celtics--which, horribly, I pronounce "Keltics"--are a better team. When they have the ball, they pass it more and the Lakers seem to end up chasing it around. But again, no expert.
As for refs, yeah, back in the martial arts days, part of the challenge was being better than the refs were incompetent and/or biased.
There's no whining in Karate. And really no whining in kickboxing.
The thing about Jackson is that he is really overrated as a coach. His move is to doulbe team Paul Pierce who is killing the Lakers. Ray Allen the other big scorer is hurt. If they double Pierce then it is up to Kevin Garnet to win the game and he has been horrible in all of his prior playoff appearances going all the way back to when he is on the Timberwolves. The Lakers have to hold on after the inital big score that the Celtics will put up in the first quarter where they will get all the calls. If they can hold on it will be a see saw to be determined in the final minute. I think the Celtics will win though.
Well, it's a big comeback, right? Nobody's ever come back from this far behind?
Insty had a thing on people thinking the games were rigged. I'd think that'd be hard to manage.
