Sounds like you are considering letting Inga and Crack and Meade back in here.

Maybe I misunderstood the "dead beaver" part.

You don't have to worry about that.

Also I don't think you have to worry about phx either. He doesn't seem to want to comment here.

I wouldn't mind getting Shouting Thomas. He has a lot of entertainment value.

Just think of all the naked Filipino chick posts we could do.

I actually agree with ST on some subjects, but am loathe to admit that anywhere but here.

Now get rid of the bitch phx.

Whaddaya mean, your blog, your rules. Dammit, Trooster, that commie is a commie rat.

Virgil Xenophon asked for admittance, too.

Virgil is here but he has not commented yet.

He is kind of shy.

Like a Virgin.

The Duke admits to being stomped on!!!

But he does it reluctantly, sorta like Bush I when he admitted to blatantly flat-out lying to us in his "Read my lips" pledge.

Am I making a connection? Hell, if my memory lapses are anything to go by I'm in the early stage of Alzheimers, how the hell do I know where I'm going with ANY comment?

Speaking of Virgil...Sixty, do you know that Tim Wilson just passed? Shockingly young to go. The connection? Virgil, southern name. Tim Wilson, southern comedian and genuinely funny.

Look for Troop in high heels in this video.

He's like a less grumpy version of me!

dead beaver at home is the reason Meade turns to the canine world for special company.

I see my name has been taken in vain. :) Actually "Virgil" is my middle name--thought I'd get a useful double play on words, as it were,, rebounding off a great poet...and Xenophon? One of the world's great generals and a pretty damn fair historian all rolled into one--tho today's lefty bunch of academics never miss a chance to label him as "second rate." The Anabasis is one of the great reads not only from the point of military history and political analysis, but as literature qua literature itself..

(IMHO--YMMV)

I read The Aeneid a couple of years ago - your namesake done good.

o/~Virgil Caine is my name
And I served on the Danville train
Till Stoneman's cavalry came
And tore up the tracks again
In the winter of '65
We were hungry, just barely alive
By May tenth, Richmond fell
It's a time I remember oh so well~\o

Brilliant song, performed brilliantly by Levon.

What a talent he was.

Yankee Discharge

Snow snow go away, dump all over Virginay,
And for good measure, dump what's left on North Ca'lina.

Yeah, it's 60 here now, the sun is shining, flowers are blooming and spring is on its way.

So, how are things in upstate NY?

ricpic said...

Hey, something's wrong. The map-track of the storm shows snow on Virginia and at least some a' that nice accident rich ice for North Carolina. Didn't happen? Dang.

Snow but tres light here,

Pedro and Padre are similar sounding words with disparate roots. One suffered phonetically under the Inquisition's version of Grimm's Law; the other softened its rough edges.
