Watched "The Dirty Dozen" over Christmas form Netflix. This was inspired by your much earlier post on that movie (and not by Meade's more recent use of the term).

My whole family enjoyed it. I had seen it once before years and years ago, but I forgot how Franko gets it at the very end, riding in the halftrack.

A couple of rebels in "The Dirty Dozen" were without real cause.

If you want a couple of good flicks in the same vien try:

"The Devils Brigade" with William Holden and Richard Dawson in his pre Family Feud days.

"The Professionals" with Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin and Robert Ryan.

Two great action flicks.

Chickenlittle, Did you eat cheese curds while you watched it?

Guns of Navarone is good too.

Curds? no whey! Not since the Del Mar Fair, which serves them deep-fried.

My favorite is Bowls of Minestrone.

The rebel act never wears thin...for the young. Brando was pushing the edge of excusable chip on the shoulder posing when he made The Wild One in 1950 at age 26. Doing the same angry son act in One Eyed Jacks 11 years later he looked ridiculous.

Not as ridiculous as he looked that time eating cookies on Johnny Carson and telling Carson (or maybe Joan?) that he was on an all cookie diet.

I'm currently rebelling against Martini's that are too wet.

Give me 8-1 or give me death.

"Franko gets it at the very end, riding in the halftrack."

Saddest death ever. For an incompetent, mob killer with a gigantic chip on his shoulder, he was strangely lovable.

I was always trying to be a rebel. My dad had other ideas. Hard to be a rebel when you are on the short leash.

I gave my parents hell, I was a very rebellious child and teen. My mother used to wish upon me a child just like myself, the Mother's Curse. It worked.
