The Captain is at the end of his string

It is almost the end of the line for the Captain Derek Jeter. Only tonights game and a few games against the Orioles are left of his Yankee career.

Tonight is very interesting because it is against the Tampa Bay Rays.

I bet that this is the team that he is going to buy after he retires.

Good franchise. They are the new Twins, who for decades produced great players from their minors. Their stadium is the worst in baseball.

So he's not making the final road trip to Boston? Good. The fans won't have to make a phony show of appreciation for Captain Ass-Jut.

Seriously, though, Good luck in your future endeavors, Derek. I think the place where Ted's head is stored have some stuff that can treat your herpes.

Glad to see he broke his 0-47 streak. He's not going out as embarrassingly as Mantle or Mays, but he's not going out as good as Brett or Yount, two other HOFers who played for the same team.
