THANK GOD IT"S PITCHERS AND CATCHERS!!!!

Thank God it's pitchers and catchers and baseball is back. I mean we have to dust off the old creaky arms and get ready to go again. Or maybe use the lemon pledge. But the season is on the way which means spring will be here soon. Thank God.

With my terrible memory I can't remember anything about that game except thinking WHY DOESN"T ANYONE STOP IT!!!
Why didn't either manager call for a 15 - 30 minute recess? Why didn't the umpires do that on their own? Brain dead, they must've all been brain dead.

Blake there was a game, a very important game that was lost because a swarm of biting flies made it almost impossible to pitch and the game was lost by the pitcher who let himself be more flustered by the flies than the other pitcher did. As to the actual teams playing and who won and who lost -- I forget.
Hope that's helpful. :^O

Ohhhh.

That sounds nasty.

I wonder how you train for that. "We're going to put you in a box with a bunch of insects and the New York Times crossword puzzle..."

That was the famous game where midges attacked the mound in Cleveland and totally freaked out our rookie pitcher Joba Chamberlin to the point where he blew the game and basicly sent the Yankees out of the playoffs. St. Joe Torre sat on his fat guinea ass as usual instead of going out and demanding that they either get rid of the gnats and the midges or suspend the game. One of the main reasons I was so glad to see him go. Jorge Posada is spraying down Mariano Rivera to see if we could continue the game. What a farce.
