We are all caught up....

So now I have to wait for the next Downton Abbey like the rest of you peasants.

I guess I will fill the time with Gator Boys and Honey Boo Boo until next week.

I only like that high brow stuff..

Why are all the toddlers and tiara's pageant's in the south?

Is this southern discrimination?

I caught up on Season 3 of Boardwalk Empire on HBOGO. It is strangely interesting to watch Downton Empire and Boardwalk Abbey on the same days.

In the meantime.....watch Foyles War. We get it on Netflix. It is a murder mystery show set in WWII England. Highly entertaining.

Also try Sherlock, the british show. They only have three episodes a season and there are just two seasons so far. One of the best shows we've seen in a long time.

We are pacing ourselves on Downton Abbey, since we don't have it available on our Dish Service....we cut back because we weren't watching most of the channels and went Roku, Amazon Prime, Netflix etc. So far we are only on season two episode 5.

Ditto. Though I hate the way they left the last episode hanging.

I will put "Foyles War" in the queue

Well youse guys should try "Copper" on BBC America.

Set in NYC during the Draft Riots and the Civil War.

It is damn good.

The wife is forcing me to watch Downton Abbey.

I had already seen it thirty years ago when I was forced to watch "Upstairs, Downstairs."

Downton Abbey is a better production value carbon copy of it. IMHO

Next week, Lord Grantham refuses to go to a Miami Dolphins football game because Dan Marino had a bastard child.

It is a very special Superbowl episode.

My daughter and I just finished up "Alias." Now my son and I are watching "Breaking Bad." He's already watched it, and I'm catching up to him.

I'm on the 6th season of "Fibber McGee and Molly". Only 23 seasons to go before I'm caught up.

Wonder what those guys are up to these days.

If Matthew doesn't smack down (figuratively, of course) that total bitch of a wife I'm gonna start slapping my tv screen for him (literally).

Lady Mary is my favorite female character on the show.

There are no busty wenches, so I have to judge on character.

So we finally disagree about something!

For me, Mary is like Kate before the last act of Taming of the Shrew.

Sybil was the only hottie.

Ha! On Twitter I disagreed with everyone about that blonde bimbo on Mad Men. They kept telling me she was a "great actress." She's the same character in every script in every thing she does.

chickelit said...

Maybe Lady Mary is sterile because of something she contracted from that Serbian dude.

If you mean Jan. Jones, we don't disagree.

I like Don's new wife, cuz I love a girl w/ overbite.

SPOILER ALERT..............

Don't look if you haven't seen the show yet.

Maybe we haven't watched it far enough into the series but isn't Lady Mary the bitch who slept with the turkish guy, boinked him to death and then gets everyone involved in trying to save her sorry ass, basically ruins Bates chances at happiness because he is trying to keep his wife (who should be done away with) from blackmail, while playing head games with everyone else and trampling on the heart of the heir apparent, screwing over her sister by telling some guy who really liked the sister that she was making fun of him, and driving him away? The one who looks down her nose at anyone who is in a lesser social category???

That biatch? Dumbplumber and I want to see her suffer. Don't' spoil it and tell me if she does or doesn't suffer. We can only hope.

We'll just have to disagree to agree--the state of the nation!

What I meant was that when a man isn't so distracted, why wouldn't he go with the woman with the best head on her shoulders?

I was so hooked on Downton that I watched Season 3 on the internet the evening it aired on Great Britain. I caught the Christmas special on Christmas night. And I hated Julian Felllowes with a deep passion.

If you subscribe to Amazon Prime seaason pass, you got ALL of Season 3 deposited on Monday.

Just sayin'.
