In honor of Thanksgiving, who is your favorite Indian?

To celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday we want to pay tribute to our Indian friends. So who is your favorite Indian:

Squanto

Sacajawea

Sitting Bull

Chingachgook

Rocky Colavito

I know a lot of you had other suggestions so applogies to Crazy Horse (love you strip club), Chief Joseph, Tecusmah, Cochise and Apu.

But not everyone can make the cut.

As a Catholic from New York, I am shocked, shocked I say!, that you omitted Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha. Vision impaired from smallpox, her name Tekakwitha means 'she who bumps into things.'

That's gotta' count for something.
If she wins this poll, it might just be the last miracle she needs to move to full Sainthood.

Sacajawea, hands down. I shout her name instead of cussing at work.

Happy Thanksgiving to all and to all a good night.

Mangas Coloradas, Chiricahua Apache chief, was reportedly 6'4" tall. He was murdered by the US Army in 1863 while conferring with them under a flag of truce.

His death, and that of his brother Cochise, ensured the Apache wars would go on for another 20 years,

Can you imagine the effect someone that tall would have had on folks back then?

Ion Eyes Cody, of course, was of the Sicilian tribe. (Born Espera Oscar DeCorti.)
