Governor Cuomo wants me to get out of New York

Pro-abortion adulterer Andrew Cuomo has recently stated that there is no place for people like me in New York State. The Mafia Scion who was cuckolded by a polo player sweater tied over his shoulders mo had this to say about conservatives like me:

"Right-to-life, pro-assault weapons, anti-gay — if that's who they are, they have no place in the state of New York because that's not who New Yorkers are," he continued.

Cuomo said his words don't extend to moderate Republicans, such as those in the state Senate, who he believes "have a place in their state."

You know he might be right. The more I see of how this city and this state have gone I feel that it is time for me to leave. I was a proud New Yorker. A proud Brooklynite. But no more. As Bob Grant used to say "It's sick and it is getting sicker."

I don't want to be one of those old guys who thinks that everything sucks today and that it was better when you were a kid. I guess everyone feels that way. But the way things have become ridiculously expensive and the way you have to deal with entitled liberal hipster douche nozzles to such a degree it seems that I should just get a cabin in the woods like Sixty. Or more likely a place near the water where it is warm and I can go out and calmly write.

I know that Andy the douche will be waving bye bye. I wonder what he is going to do when all the taxpayers leave and only the tax eaters remain.

Duh. And yet, for some reason, you are still there. Pack your shit in a carpet bag and get the flock out of there.

What? A total tax load of 61% wasn't already a big enough hint?

Cuomo is an idiot. But what he said is shared by too many other New Yorkers.

An exit tax has got to be coming soon.

A NewsMax poll?

Chip! The Exit Tax has been floated here more than once recently. UnConstitutional of course but why would THAT stop anyone?

Blake, in keeping with the spirit of the idea, I stole credit for it.

The basic idea's been around a long time.

I can understand why you wouldn't want to leave Brooklyn, Troop. Your whole life and persona is there--you're "Like A Brownstone Cowboy," remember? But maybe it's time to start seriously planning to leave -- your new lease on life means you'll many, many years to write Westerns and "Easterns."

Of course you have to consider the wife's wishes, too.

And bring your accent with. The instructor we had for Hunter Safety was an ex-Brooklynite.

I refer you to the Nike motto, "Just do it."

That's unbelievable that a governor could talk like that and get away with it.

Although, if one listen carefully to Obama that's pretty much what he says too.

The politics of division and personal destruction.

Lem the artificially intelligent said...

Could you imagine say a Nelson Rockefeller getting away with saying something like that?

essentially, it sounds to me like Cuomo is saying to New Yorkers that don't agree with him, to 'drop dead'.

Chip S. said...

More like, "We don't want your kind in our neighborhood. Oh, and happy MLK Day!"

Every state has an exit tax. When you move out of a state, and sell property you own in that state, you are required to pay that state a capital gains tax on the property sold.

It's good to hear that Cuomo is getting some pushback on his idiocy today. Problem is, he said what he believes, and pushback or no, he will continue to believe it.

Even worse than his particular pathology, is that the voters of NY elected him. That's just sad.

I am amused by the frequently running 30 second or longer publicly sponsored (by NY I presume) advertisements on television nationally for "tax free zones" in New York state...e.g., "come on down!"

WTF is that all about?

You can't go home again and Brooklyn is no longer Brooklyn.

Graft and corruption - get new companies to move in, they pay bribes to get tax breaks, then the state busts them out later with exorbitant fees and taxes. Think of the T1000's sports store on The Sopranos - same thing on a larger scale. Exact same playbook, run by the same gangsters.

Some things never change - from Tammany hall to Cuomo-stained Albany.

New York is a great place to be from.

New Jersey too.

Neighborhoods can change quickly. It just takes one or two people to ruin a neighborhood.

Cuomo and his ilk are just like the liberal Democrats in California. He thinks that NY CITY is the only part of his State. Forgetting that there are millions of people outside of the "Big Apple". All policies and governance are geared towards the city people, the needs of the urban areas. Fuck all those rubes in the little towns and rural areas....right?

That's the California way as well. It is also why there is such a movement not only in California but elsewhere in the US for rural areas to demand to be represented...or to secede.

When you have politicians basically telling more than half of the population to "fuck off you annoy me", it isn't going to end well.

Trends still start in California.

We just Googled for a local company to get their telephone number. Our phone book in the house was too old.

The description of the company was "near California". Does Google know something we don't? Is the State of Jefferson going to become a reality?

Please oh please oh please.

:-)

Jefferson looks like a beautiful area. I was looking at parts of Northern California for some back road motorcycling this summer - quite a lot to like!
