Are you dressing up this Halloween?

We are having a Halloween party down in Florida and we are wearing costumes and everything.

I am going as Elvis.

It's not much of a stretch. So to speak.

This disproves the Troop is like Hitler hypothesis!

So I bought York Peppermint Patties to give out as Halloween candy but I had to try some out on myself first. Well, within an hour of ingestion I had to make a beeline for the bathroom. That cocoanut filling is like a roto-rooter. So that's what I would suggest offering when some trick or treater who's been particularly offensive recently knocks.

Unless of course you happen to live near Zuccotti Park, in which case you may have a clean up on aisle stoop.

I never realized that white peppermint stuff in the middle was coconut. If so, the peppermint stuff really drowns out the coconut flavor.

I love coconut and could eat Almond Joy or Mounds all day long.

In related candy-news, they postponed trick-or-treating in our town--since pretty much the whole town is still without electricity.

@dbp: How are getting online to post? When the power was out for about 12 hrs out here, I was living on my iPhone battery plugged into the car. Also, all the cell phone towers were jammed, making it hard to be online.

Chickelit (and dbp): Lots of towns in the area where dbp and I live (yes, we live in nearby towns), not to mention everywhere else in the Northeast, have delayed Halloween b/c of power outages. Schools have also closed, despite it being a nice, sunny day today. Just too much electricity chaos. Trees are down everywhere (including one on our garage), and the damage to power & other lines is incredible.

Our power was out from Sat eve until 5 AM today, but we're lucky to have it back so soon. A friend came over today to shower, and maybe the whole family will follow, because their power has been out for 2 days now. No power. No oil pump. No heat. And very likely no hot water.

Anyway, about computers: The public library in our town never lost power, along with the police and fire, so yesterday the library was packed w/people and their laptops taking advantage of the electricity and wi-fi. I expect the library to be unusually popular for the next few days.

Are you doing something similar, dbp?

I have computer access even though neither home nor office does. That is because my employer has facilities in 5 nearby towns, so I am working from a "flex suite" today in one of the towns that still is running.

We still have no power at home, but do have hot water since the heater is Gas and doesn't require any electricity. The kids are staying at my in-laws (same town as my office, but they never lost power).

I ran the chainsaw for half the day yesterday and got through only about half of the fallen wood on our lot.

Can't they trick or treat when it is still light out? They are probably out of school anyway with the electricity being out.

Elvis camel toe is scary.

So is the Duke's camel toe.

Unfortunately, I am sorry to say he does.

Following the Perky Pompon and Sexy Pants competition, MamaM was about to suggest something more for the laydees when TY manfully came through with this Nuts 'n Gut ensemble. The rear view can only be imagined.

TTBurnett said...

Yes, but should it be imagined?

I though it was an aft view hanging forward so to speak.
The large orb front and center is actually the sole cajone.

That's over the line.

Title should be "Are you trussing up this Halloween?"

MamaM's had one too many Reese cups and can't stop laughing. The whole thing, aft or front, single or double, is a wonder to behold!

Some people see things as they are and say, why not?
