Commenting about commenting is like not commenting or something....what the fuck do I know

I see that everyone is enjoying the meltdown at the Evil Blogger Lady's site as she continues to fool herself.  The thing is she has always shown a false image to the public. She is a lot like Inga. They have the same opinions. They feel the same way about most things and the idea that the Nutty Perfessor was some sort of "conservative" was as crazy as both of those loony tunes. She hates Catholics, the church, religion, veterans, traditional values, patriotism and illustrated that in post after post. Her religion is abortion and gay marriage and if you didn't bow down to that you were not decent. The fact is that the mask started to slip right after her comment that many of her "friends" asked how could she allow a platform for so many bigots on her blog. She agreed and couldn't take the pushback so she shut it down. Now it is open for sycophants, toady's and fools. That's not to say that I would be mad in some way if any of youse guys want to comment there. Trooper York don't play that. You can say anything you want to anybody you want anytime you want. (diagram that sentence Sixty you fuck you) No harm, no foul.

I liked going over there because of the commenters. Since so many of them now comment either here or at Lem's joint there is no reason to go back. We are free range assholes and you can't feel comfortable in a petting zoo.

I don't feel bad that I won't be getting one of her new t-shirts that all approved commenters will be sporting this season.  I think that is just not my speed.

T-shirts?

I heard she was sending out dental dams.

I gotta tell ya Troop, I don't think that shirt will be a big seller in your store.

I don't hate Catholics but I do think this latest Pope is a big mistake. Of course I understand that this papacy too shall pass. Still, The Church would be doing itself a big favor if it stood firm against the tide of so-called tolerance instead of trying to get with the modern age.

Now back to those obsessed with the Wisconsin dugong and her paramour.

She's really chumming the waters with the latest lawnboy post.

"I replaced my hedge w/ ornamental grass. Lawnboy's hosing down the top dressing."

It's her version of a Betty Rubble post. Not remotely tempted to bite, tho.

ChipS, Dentals dams, LOL!

I'd check those to make sure there was no tampering with barrier integrity.

When I see a dental dam I always think "integrity".

I read what you said about the Pope ricpic and I think you are mistaken. He is spouting the usual rhetoric about accepting sinners but not the sin in reference to the gays but he also spoke against "lobbies" and special interests. What he was specifically referring to was the gay mafia of cardinals and bishops who are protecting the homosexuals in the priesthood. They have a lot of power in Rome and are cited as the main reason Benedict resigned as he didn't want to fight them anymore at his advanced age.

What I like about this Pope is that he slammed the bishops and cardinals and said they were out of touch with the people. Which is exactly right. They are politicians for the most part. Not holy men. I like that this Pope is a man of the people and not afraid.
I want to give him a chance.

Don't you know better than to give anyone a chance? Kill everyone immediately.

Bad chance you.

ricpic: Latest news that the media may eventually get:

The Pope is a Catholic.

When they do figure it out, and that he has pulled a switcheroo with their narrative, they will attack him with everything they've got. In the meantime, he goes on preaching a totally straight, down-the-middle version of the Catechism. Except he does it in a down-to-earth way with a twinkle in his eye.

"I think what Francis is doing is something I have suggested for quite some time: use the language of inclusion and openness to advance a countercultural, and distinctly Christian, understanding of the nature of the human person. In other words, speak the truth in love."

As an employee of the Archdiocese of Boston dependent on the continuation of probably one of the highest Liturgies commonly used in the Church in this country, I am of course worried about Francis' Liturgical proclivities. We've only done an Extraordinary Form (Tridentine) Mass once in recent years, but the heart and soul of our Liturgy is a sung novo ordo Mass heavily or sometimes completely in Latin. I am very worried about Francis pulling the plug on this. I am not worried at all about where he seems to be going spiritually and evangelically.

I just like the Choir School and my job.

I don't think he will pull the plug on that Tim. The Latin mass resonates with many traditionalists and the danger that they will force the church to go back to it is past.

They are like National League fans who hate the designated hitter. They are quaint but harmless. He will leave them alone.

And what's the difference between a dental dam and a condom? Commitment. Not much of it, but enough to build a relationship on.

I love the Latin mass.

That first part would make for a great tee-shirt....

The pope is doing his bit to get the cards and bish's to get their shit straight, but his slavish saccharine attention towards the poor makes me believe that this will be his Achilles heel. It got him to where he is, but like the poor always do, they want, want, want, want, want, want, and do nothing in return except take more and he's blind to it.

Good luck to him.

You don't put your mouth on one. Oh wait... That's not what Trooper told me. Bastard.

Like most non-Catholics, I have plenty of opinions on how the Pope and Catholic Church should be run.

Ignorance has never stopped me.

So here's my take: Catholics should tell all the non-Catholics, especially those who aren't even Christians, to go tend their own gardens. Or to put in more delicately -STFU and mind your own business.

I noticed that too when it happened but I didn't put 2 and 2 together until just now. It makes sense. Mary, who had long been a problem, was just the proverbial straw man camel toe the line reason given.

And I hate the designated hitter, too.

For some reason, this old song has been running through my head:

When I was young I us'd to wait
On de boss and hand him his plate;
An' pass down de bottle when he got dry,
An' brush away de blue tail fly.

refrain:

Jimmy crack corn and I don't care,
Jimmy crack corn and I don't care,
Jimmy crack corn and I don't care,
My massa's gone away.

An' when he ride in de afternoon,
I foiler wid a hickory broom;
De poney being berry shy,
When bitten by de blue tail fly.

refrain

One day he rode aroun' de farm,
De flies so numerous dey did swarm;
One chanced to bite 'im on the thigh.
De debble take dat blue tail fly.

refrain

De pony run, he jump an' pitch,
An' tumble massa in de ditch;
He died, an' de jury wonder'd why;
De verdic was de blue tail fly.

refrain

They buried him 'neath the sycamore tree
His epitaph there for to see
"Beneath this stone I'm forced to lie
The victim of a blue-tailed Fly."

refrain
