Schlitz used to be a pretty good beer, back in the day. But in 1972 someone at Schlitz HQ couldn't leave well enough alone and tinkered with the recipe.

New Schlitz wasn't just bad, it was downright horrible, and a thriving brewery went tango uniform in about two and a half years.

Some smart person recently bought the rights to brew Schlitz using the original recipe. There's no actual brewery, of course, and Schlitz is actually brewed in the Miller plant in Milwaukee, as are dozens of other brands.

Anyhow, the renewed Schlitz is good, very good. In bottles, don't buy the cans. If you can get it, try it. You'll thank me.
