Let there be light heads ...or something like that there....

So we had this dude that said he was a lighting consultant who wanted to come work with us for the back store. He charged $450 minimum to come to the store and tell us what kind of lights we needed.

Right.

We know what kind we need. The one that light up. The kosher boys down Court St have a store where they sell light fixtures. We used them for the front store so we went there and decided to put in an order. We figured out what we needed by the size of the room and the floor plan. These are the heads we will use in the track lighting. They have them in stock. No fuss no muss.

No consulting fee.

When I worked @ The Drake Hotel as a house dick they were doing a huge renovation. They hired two very gay interior designers from NYC. The carpenters, painters, electricians all hated them. I watched these 2 guys have an electrician on a ladder adjusting the lighting on a floral centerpiece for 3 fucking hours!

If you were house dick at this place, nick, I'd recommend keeping a close watch on any visitors from WI.

All Four Season hotels, and all LaQuinta's, allow dogs. The ying/yang of hotel pets.

There's a surprising number of hotel/motels that do. I had no idea, until I needed to make a trip with a dog.

As for the macho response to a lighting designer, I'm guessing the shoppers who come to your store prefer the work of a designer to something off the rack at a Lowes type clothing store.
