The 'No Patty Fingers' is a line from one of the greatest movies ever set in Ireland: The Quiet Man; a 1952 John Wayne/John Ford film.
The exact quote is in Trooper's tagline, and refers to a scene where the chaparone (Michaleen Flynn) is taking a young couple out on their first date, and they are forbiden to touch each other. Well, it was 1920's Ireland.
If you haven't seen this flick, you ought to. One of John Ford's best, and that is saying something.
As a side note, the character of Trooper York appears in another John Ford film, a Western, made shortly before TQM, and reportedly part of a deal where if John Ford made three Westerns for Republic Pictures, they would allow him to film TQM. The three films (Fort Apache; She Wore a Yellow Ribbon and Rio Grande) starred most of the same cast members as TQM, and are probably 3 of the best Westerns ever made.

I actually own The Quiet Man, and am a big John Wayne fan, but I'm always happy to read about other fans of The Quiet Man, especially.
