Hey it's time for pasta!

So it’s time to get to what is your favorite pasta. We will be doing a lot of recipes over the next couple of days but think of the pasta in your favorite sauce or dish if you want to vote for it. The choices.

Ravioli. It could be cheese or meat or mushroom or even pumpkin. Your choice.

Ziti. Baked or otherwise.

Fettuccini; Alfredo is preferred but you can do what you want.

Linguini. With clam sauce or just a fresh basil tomato sauce.

Manicotti: With straight ricotta or maybe spinach you choose.

So get out your forks and start doing some research.

Ravioli.

Linguini.

I voted for 'em both (since you can now).

I can only laugh.

Let's talk about Affirmative Captionizing "White Flour Power"!

Power to the noodles!

This blog is hell on my hips. :)

All of them. I love them all. Probably the Ravioli, though. I love it stuffed with portabello mushrooms and cheese. Though if I'm really, really going all out, it's the heart attack on a plate I go for.

Ahh..lovely fettucine alfredo...why must you be so...sinful? ;-)

I agree with Darcy, these are all good. I especially love that spaghetti and macaroni are nowhere to be seen. As a kid all the pasta I would get was either as spaghetti with marinara sauce, or as goulash, which in my house was just marinara sauce with macaroni and some ground beef in it.

Good point, Jason. This is the real pasta.

I have to mention stuffed shells too, though. Love them. I make them with a ground italian sausage, spinach and mushroom filling, with the cheeses and sauce. Oh, my.

My kid loves when I just make a simple tomato sauce (from canned whole tomatoes put in the blender and just a lot of fresh garlic and spices added) with ground italian sausage over penne pasta. It's so simple...but has a ton of flavor.

Can kasha and bow tie noodles - kasha varnishkas - make it under the wire as a pasta dish? If so that's my favorite.

You can add an egg, onions, mushrooms, sour cream, you name it and the dish just gets better

Man it was a toss up between fettuccini and manacoti.

You know the Romans taugh the French how to cook. After Ceaser conquered Gaul he told the Gallic chiefs to quit kissing his feet and go make him a salad.

Fixed. After all Ceaser's real first name was Titus.

I've decided to withhold my votes until all the recipes are out there.
I would like to see a fair and hard fought campaign this time, instead of knee-jerk voting based on preconceived notions and insider favorites.
I'm serious this time and unable to laugh about things anymore- and I've lost my last TY poll.

Ugh, chickenlittle has become one of those awful undecided voters. Everyone put on your pandering hats!

You guys always vote knee-jerk preferences.

What an echo chamber here.

Hey, could see morphing into a troll!
