We like to sit at the high table

We like to sit at the high table when we are getting high. Or at least having cocktails.

They have a couple of high tables in the bar area so we can compromise. We can sit in the bar area but our regular waiter can still serve us and get his tip. It's a win/win.

As long as you're clear as to motive and motivation!

And it looks like you were and are!

Motivation can also mean "the act of motivating", where "motive" cannot. Compare, "oxygen, oxygenate, oxygenation" (or many other similar examples) with "motive, motivate, motivation". With this in mind, I would suggest that motive and motivation might not really be synonyms. Say, I get an apartment. My motive may be to be comfortable and protected from the elements. My motivation may be my parent's throwing me out of the house!

'Course, reading all those detective novels helps.

High tables are tough on my back.

That's true nick but my legs hurt more when I am cramped in those little tables.

How about a restaurant w/ recliners, and trays that holds the food? It would attract men.

Shit. I would eat there every night.
