We ate at Cagney's steakhouse about four times on the cruise. They had a great menu. No kids running around. Good wine at decent prices. Right up our alley.
The wife isn't a big fan of beef but she does love filet mignon. The filet mignon here was superb.
But it was the side dishes that sealed the deal. Garlic mashed potato. Creamed corn. Onion rings. Mushrooms. Mac and cheese. Great steakhouse favorites.
I wish I didn't have to go home to cook right now and we could just go to Cagney's.

Got it. It will be in tomorrow feed.
All women like filet mignon. That's all my bride eats. There is no marbling and it's a pain in the ass to cook. Give me a KC or NY strip, rib eye, PORTERHOUSE!
Shit, give me a plain sirloin 2 inches thick, a skirt steak, flank steak.
Those aren't onion rings, they're onion bracelets.
As a travel agent, I went on 3 cruises during the late 70's early 80's and all were on refurbished ocean liner type ships with early and late dining and group seating (six to a table). This was just prior to the arrival of the specialty ships designed especially for cruising. What you experienced looks like a fun and relaxing time. That you were able to sit back and enjoy being taken care of and sharing time together seems like just the ticket.
Travel agent sounds like a fun job. Do they still exist?
A good Porterhouse and some good Scotch - doesn't get any better.
