A personal plea to Sir Archy

I think it would be wonderful surprise and a subtle yet telling statement if Sir Archy or the blogging cockroach showed up at Lem's place. Just to say a few words. It would not be about the controversy or an attack on anyone. It could just be about the subject of the thread.

That would accomplish several things.

It would be comment on the fact that the new blog could be a pleasant place to be without the drama and hate spewed by the Evil Blogger Lady and Chance.

It would be both sublte and sublime.

It would be great for all of us who miss them and would love to get a chance to hear from them.

Just a thought.

I think it is an interesting "Topick."

I'm sorry - off topic - but I made a suggestion today.

Oh, and did you see Ann's comments about her poll?

Apparently our thoughts are not "appealing"...

Hey nothing about me is appealing.

Well except my pale fish belly white irish skin when I go in the sun.

Does Meade have some sort of beacon that goes off whenever his name is mentioned in a blog? I mean Crack posts and like a bad case of jock itch....Meade shows up. It is like a reverse of the Bat signal? Boom and here he is.

He reads all the comments, apparently. What else does he have to do?

If Sir Archy or the Roach wanted to front page their remarks at Lem's, I would be happy to convey them there.

Gah. Inga is back trying to get everything side tracked.

Don't respond to her.

Don't respond to her

Chant with me: Inga-Gotta-Divide-Us

El Pollo Raylan,

Inga-Gotta-Divide-Us is brilliant!

Thanks, Crack!

DBQ, Ignoring is best. However, obtuse comments that do not reference Inga, but she responds to are tough to pass up. I did one last week about people who come to parties uninvited and never leave. She jumped on it, assuming it was her. The key then is to not respond, just let it be.

Good advice Nick. Applies to Meade as well.

While reading the comments made by Fr.Fox over at Lem's, I couldn't help think about the many times his comments at AA were turned into troll food by the idiots she regularly tolerated and even encouraged.

I hope he makes many return visits to Lem's.

I received a ghostly post card from the old fellow just last week. Seems he's in the empyrean realms, exploring the Same, the Different, and the Essence. He says he's engaged working out all the ratios, musical and otherwise, in which the World Soul consists. Having taken a summer holiday to the astral Magna Græcia, his only wish is for a zero and Newton's Principia to make heads or tails of the guidebook, which he swears "seems to have been writ by Plato."

He says he'll be back to the ordinary Astral Plane in September, but has signed on to a tour of the Underworld shortly after. He sends his regards, and bids Meade and Inga accompany him, without charge, to Hades. He says he will be pleased to frequent the Losers' Miscellany (as he calls it) upon his return, provided Meade and Inga remain after in Hell, which he considers an easy and natural removal to their proper sphere.

Looks like my 5:41 comment was premature.

I too would love to see Sir Archy and/or the blogging cockroach reappear in our plane of existence.

Co-sign on the advice to ignore. Of course, if the urge to administer a smackdown is too strong, I like Crack's hospitable suggestion: say "let's take it outside," e.g. to Crack's.

OD for short. Over Dose all around

ODE BL also works as some sort of debt keeps being suggested, as if what was owed was not delivered.

Lol - Ol' Dirty EBL and Inga-Gotta-Divide-Us are great!

I even heard Pollo clearing his throat in the beginning.

Anyone need a deep baritone for some karaoke?

Michael Haz, I agree about Fr. Fox.

I was hoping he would show up for the spirituality post and he did. And I think it turned out well.

Hopefully we can bring in and keep in others.

I agree about Sir Archy too, but I've said that before, and think him getting his own features is a great idea.

Haz, I like the padre.
