Role Models

Or is it Roll Models. You know a guy with a nice roll around his midsection.

Some people have athletes or academics or teachers or actors as their role models. My are a little more eclectic.

One of them was Captain Lou Albano. Capt. Lou just didn't give a shit. He had a good time and wore his Hawaiian shirts and drank his whiskey and smoked his cigars.

And the girls he hung out with.

They just wanted to have fun.

Sounds like what you're really doing is confessin' some tentin' over cyndi lauper.

Periodically I get an urge to put rubber bands in my beard like he did. Or beads, like what's his name in those pirate movies.

CEO-MMP, 21 Jump Street?

Not roll models but they do remind me of someone...

Well, the original Jump Street, not the remake. Johnny Depp.
I knew I'd think of it sooner or later.

Off topic, but I thought I should run with this post over at Lem's: Flirting at the Library...

Lots of guitarists' role model, JJ Cale, dead at 74 of a heart attack.

That "Road To Escondido," CA 78, is about 3 miles from me.

Buddy Holly was only 2 years older than JJ Cale.

That's totally freakin' me out, dude!

A friend (who ought to know better, since he's a guitar player) was slagging that CD, saying how much of a mismatch Cale and Clapton were. Um...Cale wrought some of Clapton's biggest hits...um...yeah, quite a mismatch of talent there...
